God-Demon Battlefield (4)

The Chaos Demon Spiders crouched low, moving with terrifying speed. The moment they closed in, they pounced at the group, venom dripping from their fangs and sizzling as it corroded the ground.

"Fall back!" Ang barked, raising a hand and hurling a fireball that struck the foremost spider squarely in its chest armor.

Amid a thunderous explosion, the fire wave forced the spider back several steps. Its shell was scorched black, yet it did not fall. Its eight iron-spike-like legs dug deep into the ground, firmly resisting the force.

"Their magic resistance is too high!" Quintina cried out.

"Keep suppressing them!" Ang ordered grimly.

The next instant, Puri, Georgie, Isi, and the others unleashed their magic attacks one after another. Fireballs, wind blades, and Earth Spikes intertwined, forcing the spiders back.

Yet a layer of dark radiance glimmered over the Chaos Demon Spiders. Most spells were weakened by more than half upon striking their shells, causing negligible actual damage.

"Move!" Dana roared as she charged out from the flank, raising Bone Crusher high with both hands and rushing at the lead spider like a raging bull.

Boom!

The hammer came down with crushing force. The Chaos Demon Spider's head jolted violently, its six compound eyes bursting at once as green fluid sprayed through the air. It let out a piercing shriek.

The second Chaos Demon Spider struggled to retreat, only for Gweny to close in silently.

"Wind Cut!"

With a wave of her right hand, Gweny sent several sharp blades of air from the Wind Cutter sweeping forward. They flashed across the second spider's joints, carving clear cuts through its black legs.

In less than three seconds, all eight of the spider's legs were severed. Its enormous body swayed before tumbling over the cliff.

"Beautiful!" Dana grinned, raising her hammer
