"These demons actually dared to ambush us!" Dana said angrily, his voice laced with shock and unwillingness.
Ang did not answer. He merely calmly pulled the Magic Broom higher, while the Nightmare King followed closely behind, its body carving a fiery trail through the night sky.
A moment later, they flew back to the mountaintop.
"Ride the Nightmare King. It can protect you better." Ang's tone was calm, yet carried an unyielding firmness.
Dana had wanted to refuse, but when he met Ang's calm and resolute gaze, the words caught in his throat. He could only nod.
The Nightmare King landed on the ground, flames winding around its four hooves as it stood motionless, waiting for Dana to mount.
Dana carefully climbed onto its back. The instant he settled in, the Nightmare King rose into the air and hovered steadily high above.
Ang stepped back onto the Magic Broom, and the North Wind Steel Spear silently appeared in his hand.
He stood straight atop the Magic Broom, like a cold arrow in the night sky aimed directly ahead.
"Let's go," he murmured, and the broom shot through the night wind like a ghost.
They approached the place where they had been ambushed again. Beneath the night sky, several demons were climbing along the cliff face, seemingly intending to sneak closer.
They had not noticed Ang's return and were only growling as they exchanged something among themselves.
Ang suddenly appeared in the night sky. The demons looked up, instantly reacted, and roared as they hurled the black spears in their hands.
However, Ang was flying and moved with great agility. Those spear tips could not strike him accurately at all.
Instead, the North Wind Steel Spear in his hand flashed coldly. He gathered strength in his right arm and thrust, sending
