At that moment, Quintina, who had only just left the city wall, finally realized something was wrong with the deafening boom and the surge of magic power. Her heart sank.
She whirled around and saw Ang's figure hurled violently through the air in the distance before crashing heavily onto the stone bricks inside the wall.
Her pupils constricted, and she cried out:
"Ang!"
Her voice was hoarse and desperate, nearly tearing her throat apart.
Ignoring the steps beneath her feet, she leaped up along the shortest route and sprinted desperately toward where Ang had fallen.
The Great Warriors on the wall reacted at that moment as well, panicked shouts exploding across the battlements:
"My lord! Hurry, my lord has been attacked!"
"Enemy attack! It's a Demon!"
The cries rose and fell, filled with terror and fury.
Several warriors on duty immediately drew their weapons, their eyes locked firmly onto the silver-white figure.
The figure stood silently at the edge of the wall, his silver Enchanted Armament glinting with a cold sheen under the sunlight.
He did not move at all, as if quietly observing everything, yet also seeming completely detached from the chaos around him.
Before long, Dana rushed over from within the fortress and leaped directly onto the wall. His gaze was sharp as a blade as he glared at the man and demanded angrily, "Who are you? What did you do to Ang?"
Quintina had already reached Ang's side. She threw herself down beside him and pulled him tightly into her arms.
Ang's face was pale, and his chest rose and fell violently. His eyes, however, remained tightly shut. He had clearly fallen unconscious.
His left arm hung at an unnatural angle, the shape of the fracture faintly visible beneath his Enchanted Armament.
