"Are you not going to save the Maple Sugar Plane?" Katie asked in a low voice. There was a hint of urgency in her eyes, along with a trace of barely perceptible probing.
Ang paused slightly, then gave a bitter smile. "How am I supposed to save it? You do not really think my Chaos Power can resist that Demonic Power, do you?"
"It cannot?" The Mermaid Empress furrowed her brows slightly, confusion flashing through her sea-blue eyes. "Logically speaking, your Chaos Power should be of a higher level than Demonic Power, should it not?"
"Being higher does not mean it can restrain it." Ang shook his head, his tone filled with helplessness.
"To Demons and gods, Chaos Power is more like nourishment, a source they crave to absorb."
"Demonic Power will actively devour Chaos Power. Unless I reach the same realm as them, or an even higher one, can I devour it in return. As I am now, I am still far from enough."
The two women exchanged a glance.
A faint smile curled at the corner of Katie's lips. "It seems you know Chaos Power very well."
