A faint smile curled at the corner of his lips, his deep-set eyes fixed on Kiana as if trying to take in every detail of her.
In the end, K423 had fallen right back into Otto's trap.
Kiana's heart gave a sudden lurch.
Being treated like this for the first time, Kiana felt a bit at a loss, wondering when she should pull her hand back.
But after the kiss, Otto just smiled and said.
"Did you really wash your hands? Oh well, I don't mind."
The nice mood was ruined again. Kiana angrily yanked her hand back from Otto's grasp.
Why did this guy always have to be like this?
Then she plopped back down into her seat in a huff, but as she sat, something felt off—like someone else had been sitting there.
Kiana shot Otto a suspicious look, wondering if this shameless man had rubbed his face against her seat while she was away.
Someone as brazen as him was entirely capable of such a thing.
Otto, having returned to his own seat, caught her doubt and said with a smile.
"Your father stopped by just now."
"He said to entrust you to me, and told me not to push you too hard—just having three kids would be enough."
Kiana looked at Otto in confusion, dismissing the latter half as his usual nonsense, but she glanced around, a flicker of hope in her heart.
Yet the empty shop held only her and Otto.
"You believed that?" Otto raised an eyebrow slightly.
Disappointed, Kiana let out a snort and crossed her arms.
"This young lady doesn't believe a word."
Did he really take her for an idiot?
Seeing Kiana like this, Otto just chuckled, picked up his now-cold black tea, and took a sip, while Kiana went back to battling her dessert.
But curiosity got the better of her, and she asked.
"So, does this mean I'm a Valkyrie now?"
Otto shook his head, set down his teacup, and pointed at his empty cup.
"Make me a cup of tea."
"No way."
Kiana said with a sour face.
Otto shook his head again.
"The first thing a Valkyrie must understand is that everything is for Schicksal, everything is for humanity."
"Second is this: obeying your superior's orders."
"But for now, you're not an official Valkyrie—just a Valkyrie cadet. Once you pass the Valkyrie assessment, then you'll be a real one."
"Huh? There's a test?"
Hearing how troublesome it was—she'd never even been to school, and now there was an exam—Kiana was already starting to regret agreeing to become a Valkyrie.
"But the assessment isn't urgent. For the time being, you'll stay by my side. If you satisfy me, you can skip the exam."
"Satisfy you?" Kiana bit down on her fork and crossed her hands over her chest, making an exaggerated face of disgust. "Yame~!"
Seeing her clowning around like that, Otto just smiled.
"I'm heading to Changkong City in the Far East. You'll come with me. Consider the trip to Changkong City your Valkyrie assessment."
Leaving Kiana alone at Schicksal Headquarters didn't sit well with Otto—what if she picked up bad habits from someone?
So he decided to teach her himself.
And mold Kiana into his own shape.
Turn her into a firefly that shone only for him.

"Changkong City? What's there to do?"
Otto turned his head, looking out the window at the gloomy sky, thick with clouds—looked like a heavy storm was coming.
Kiana followed his gaze, watching the faint flashes of lightning in the sky.
Then she heard Otto's calm voice.
"Kill someone, steal someone, save someone."

Chapter 14. The Late Worm Gets Eaten by Otto
A cold wind slipped through the gap in the open window, making the curtains rustle.
On the lavishly decorated bed, a pair of emerald eyes opened.
Otto rose from the bed, the thin blanket sliding off him, revealing large patches of fair skin.
Barefoot, he stepped onto the floor, walked to the window, pulled back the curtains, and gazed through the floor-to-ceiling glass at the sky.
The sky was still overcast; a torrential rain had fallen all night, only stopping near dawn.
Even so, Otto felt utterly refreshed.
He stood before the window, looking down at the city shrouded in shadow, and stretched.
This feeling—it was as if he owned the entire world.
Right now, Otto was in the top-floor suite of the city's most luxurious hotel.
For him, a single word was enough to move in effortlessly, and everyone here would grovel before him.
Was this what it felt like to be the Bishop of Schicksal?
So damn good.
Bring on more of this decadent, hedonistic life.
A smile crept across Otto's face, and he called up the system panel, ready to check today's daily mission.
Save up 280 Crystals, and he could pull once. If he got a Herrscher Core, that would be a jackpot!
[Kiss any Valkyrie. Mission Reward: 100 Crystals. Mission Status: Incomplete.]
Alright.
A good day starts and ends with grinding missions first thing in the morning.
"What the hell is this? Isn't this too ridiculous?"
Otto was dumbfounded. Where was he supposed to find a Valkyrie to kiss? Sure, as This Bishop, he could order 180,000 Valkyries to offer their lips willingly, but if anyone caught on that something was off, his good days might be over.
"System, come out. Explain how I'm supposed to complete this mission. Are daily missions supposed to be this hard? Is there a bug? Any compensation?"
Actually, Otto didn't care that much. He could just skip the mission—it was only 100 Crystals anyway.
He called the system just to see if he could squeeze out some freebies.
[Host, rest assured. All daily missions issued by this system are based on the premise that the host can complete them.]
The system, using the Duck voice language pack, popped up.
"Tch."
Otto clicked his tongue. The mission itself was actually a bit simple, but the consequences of completing it were unpredictable.
If he wanted to keep his seat as Bishop of Schicksal steady, he'd better not stir up trouble.
Once he was firmly in place, forget Rita—he'd even have a chance to lick Fu Hua's lips raw.
Otto left the window, put on a suit identical to the White Night Butler's, and picked up the communication terminal on the nightstand.
He was still in contact with Schicksal. If he needed anything, he just had to use the terminal.
Last night, Otto had contacted Schicksal to arrange lodging for himself and Kiana, and to prepare a gift for her.
That gift was the [Battlesuit: White Comet], disguised as the prototype fourth-generation Valkyrie God-Slaying Armor [White Knight: Moonlight].
It was a White Comet that could transform into Moonlight.
With this armor, even without training, Kiana would be far stronger than she was now.
Otherwise, if something happened to Kiana in Changkong City, Otto would feel deeply guilty, and next time, Judgment of Shamash might be shoved right against his head.
So, he had to be fully prepared.
Once the armor arrived, he would take Kiana and leave Italy for Changkong City.
Otto walked out of the bedroom into the opulent living room. The suite had three bedrooms and a living room; Otto slept in the master, while Kiana was in another room.
He went to Kiana's door and knocked.
"Little kitty, time to wake up for breakfast~"
Otto could have gone to breakfast alone, but if he didn't call the little foodie, she'd miss her meal and probably make a fuss.
There was no response. Otto was about to knock again when he noticed Kiana's door wasn't fully closed—a crack was left open.
This girl didn't close her door to sleep?
Winter had already set in, not to mention last night's storm. If she didn't shut the door and windows properly before bed, the cold night air would seep into the room.
Otto gently pushed the door open, his gaze slipping through the gap.
And then he saw a rather excellent rear.
Kiana was lying on her side in bed, wearing the hotel's pink sheer pajamas, her back to the door as she snored away, completely defenseless.
She wasn't even under the covers.
Otto sighed helplessly. If Kiana caught a cold, he'd lose his chance to charm Mei in front of her.
But still, he pushed the door open, ready to shout for her to come eat.
But his gaze inevitably fell upon Kiana's exquisite body. Even lying on her side, her figure traced curves that stirred the heart.
Otto's breath caught slightly, his attention stolen.
He had never seen Kiana like this.
Because miHoYo wouldn't dare release this skin.
Without realizing it, Otto had already walked to Kiana's bedside.
Kiana lay on her side, her long white hair spread across the bed like a blooming flower of purity.
Her eyes were shut tight, her nose elegantly high, her cherry lips glossy and vibrant. Her dreamlike face was as snow and jade, as if the Creator had poured all their heart into carving this masterpiece.
Her slender waist seemed too delicate to hold, her skin like congealed fat, her collarbones fine and graceful. Her lotus-like legs were supple and rounded, long limbs crossed, her jade feet delicate, crystalline toes slightly curled.
Otto felt as if his heart might leap from his chest.
He couldn't tear his gaze away from Kiana.
Perhaps a demon whispered temptations in his mind. Otto looked at the sleeping Kiana, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes.
Then, he lowered his head.
Otto pressed his lips to Kiana's.
