For some reason, though, Asakura Miyuki sensed danger from this blond man.

What was their relationship?

A couple?

Her hands clenched slightly.

"What I want to know is whether you're all right. Are you hurt?"

Otto asked with concern. Only after Kiana shook her head did he let out a sigh of relief.

On the way over, Otto had already learned what had happened and mobilized Schicksal's resources to settle Kiana's matter.

Having learned the full story, Otto did not care much. The one who had died was a beast, after all. Their bullying of girls had already been uncovered, and the others would not escape punishment either.

"Honestly, because of you, I had to cancel a date with a beautiful young lady."

Otto picked up the cup in front of Kiana and took a sip. He and Mei had originally planned to have dinner, but then Kiana's call came through and nearly scared Otto to death.

He had thought the Herrscher had awakened.

The candlelit dinner was naturally ruined. Otto had Mei return to his hotel room and arranged for Fu Hua to protect her from the shadows.

Meanwhile, he had rushed over to find Kiana.

"Hmph." Kiana snorted softly, thinking Otto was joking.

Still, she asked timidly.

"Will I cause you trouble?"

Someone had died. This was no small matter.

"Why would there be trouble? You didn't kill anyone."

"My little darling merely happened to be at the scene of the crime."

"The real murderer was that man's accomplice, who is currently wanted."

"I imagine he'll soon be brought to justice and punished."

Otto shook his head dismissively. As the Bishop of Schicksal, with the Far East being Schicksal territory, dealing with this matter was far too easy.

He had completely cleared Kiana of any involvement.

Still, Otto did not want to say any more about the subject. He could see a faint shadow lingering in Kiana's heart. After all, this was Kiana's first time killing someone.

But this was not the right place to talk. They could have a heart-to-heart and work through it after returning home.

Suddenly, Otto recalled the daily mission that had refreshed when he woke up this morning.

But now, he seemed to see hope of completing it.

He looked at Asakura Miyuki beside Kiana, using her to change the subject.

"You must be Asakura Miyuki. What a cute little girl. I've heard my Kiana mention you before."

"Oh, I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm her guardian, Otto."

Otto said with a smile.

Oh, so he was Father-in-law.

Asakura Miyuki understood. Otto carried the air of a mature man, so she had assumed he was Kiana's father.

Sure enough, Kiana had inherited her father's handsome looks. She was like a prince.

"H-Hello. I'm Asakura Miyuki!"

Asakura Miyuki said. Otto nodded. He bore no ill will toward a girl like her, and hearing about what she had gone through was truly regrettable.

She should have been a cherished daughter, living under her parents' care.

"I'm very sorry that you were left with such unpleasant memories, but you don't need to worry. Those people will never bother you again."

"I promise you."

He did not want to protect everything like Welt did, but now that he was the Bishop of Schicksal, he could at least protect the girl before him.

An imperceptible twist appeared on Asakura Miyuki's face. She had already grown numb to those people humiliating her, but they had actually tried to lay their hands on Kiana back then.

"I'll have someone take you home. Get a good night's sleep tonight and forget all those unpleasant things."

Otto said. He noticed nothing wrong with Asakura Miyuki and only thought she looked like a good child.

"Then, is Kiana all right?"

After having someone escort Asakura Miyuki home, Otto remained seated, watching Kiana eat bite after bite.

Otto said.

Kiana put down her chopsticks.

"Then let's leave first. We can talk on the way home."

Otto led Kiana away, and only then did she realize that Otto's influence might far exceed what she had imagined. She had clearly killed someone, yet she could still walk beneath the sunlight.

The two walked side by side. The setting sun bathed them both in its light. They did not hold hands, but as they walked, their shoulders occasionally brushed against each other.

Kiana looked at the blood-red clouds on the horizon.

"I didn't mean to kill him. I just wanted to kick him off Asakura."

"I know."

Kiana was wearing the White Comet Armor. Valkyrie Armor could enhance its wearer's strength, and this White Comet set was actually the God-Slaying Armor, White Knight: Moonlight.

With her usual strength, she would only have knocked him unconscious. But with the armor's amplification, kicking him to death outright was perfectly normal.

If he had not died from that kick, Otto would have needed to thoroughly examine whether there was something wrong with the armor.

He was the Alliance Leader of Anti-Entropy.

Born in Berlin, he broke free from the Will of Honkai's restraints and became the first Herrscher to stand on humanity's side.

His name was Welt Joyce.

However, on the eve of Anti-Entropy's founding, Welt Joyce died.

The Alliance Leader of Anti-Entropy who appeared afterward was actually his successor. A boy originally named Joachim inherited Welt's name and the First Herrscher Core, becoming Welt Yang.

But he had done well. The name Welt had become Anti-Entropy's spiritual pillar.

However, in recent years, Welt Yang had vanished from public view. Anti-Entropy was left without a leader, and Cocolia rose to prominence, becoming Anti-Entropy's Acting Alliance Leader.

But an Acting Alliance Leader was still only an Acting Alliance Leader.

Cocolia, full of ambition, was not content with that. She wanted to usurp the position of Alliance Leader of Anti-Entropy.

After Welt Yang disappeared, she began making her plans. And to prevent Welt Yang's return from ruining everything she had worked for, she reached where she should not have reached.

She created a clone of Welt Joyce.

As long as she could control the clone and then place him in the position of Alliance Leader of Anti-Entropy, even Welt Yang's return would be futile.

And the one who now appeared before Otto was a clone of the First Herrscher, Welt Joyce.

He had refined features, short light-blue hair tied into a small braid, a blue hooded coat, and both hands tucked into his pockets.

The man glared at Otto and Kiana with clear displeasure. As if sensing something, Kiana stepped in front of Otto, watching the other man warily.

So this was Wight.

With Judgement of Shamash and the Cecilia Stigmata, he truly had nothing to fear from him.

This guy was probably only a little stronger than an ordinary A-rank Valkyrie.
