And if the Will of Honkai was doing this, it was presumably preparing to descend in person.

"The concentration of Honkai Energy in the air around here appears to form something like a vortex. The Honkai Energy from the surrounding area is clearly moving this way, so why isn't the concentration in the air here increasing?"
That was because someone here was unconsciously absorbing Honkai Energy.
And two people were absorbing it at once.

His gaze turned toward the image of Changkong City as he considered where he should confront the Will of Honkai. Humanity's jungle did not permit the Will of Honkai to run wild.
But his eyes suddenly narrowed slightly.
Because he discovered another place in Changkong City where Honkai Energy was converging, forming a small vortex of Honkai Energy.
It was much weaker than the one here and could easily have been overlooked without close inspection.

Just as athletes were energized by cheerleaders, the Valkyries became so excited at the sight of that white-and-gold Bishop's Attire that they could barely keep their legs closed.
It was late at night. Otto stood atop a tall building, with two powerful A-rank Valkyries standing attentively at his side. Fu Hua was not here, as she was still tasked with protecting Kiana and Mei.
Looking down, he saw over a dozen Valkyries digging a deep pit on the ground below. The once-flat earth had been dug into a pockmarked mess.
With Bishop Otto, the black-hearted contractor, personally supervising on-site, no one dared slack off. In fact, because Lord Overseer had come in person, the flattered Valkyries dug with high spirits, just like young people brainwashed by a shady pyramid scheme.
Otto watched them.
He had to admit, more than a dozen beautiful young girls sticking out their butts to dig a hole for him really made for a wonderful sight.
But Otto noticed one Valkyrie digging up a large rock. Rather than moving it aside, she punched it and shattered it to pieces.
Otto's eyelid twitched at the sight.
What beautiful young girls? These were humanoid Gundams.
Still, his expression did not change. If this shocked him, how would he subdue S-rank Valkyries and Herrschers in the future?
The night wind lifted his long golden hair.

It was the Black Box that sealed the Herrscher of Corruption from the Previous Era.
And due to what Kallen Kaslana had done more than five hundred years ago, a pink donkey had also been sealed inside.
