Pressing a finger to his temple, Tom closed the book and formed a guess. Could the terrifying creature in the Chamber of Secrets really be a basilisk? Wasn't the true heir a Parselmouth...? And what did those unworthy of learning magic represent? If it simply referred to Muggle-born wizards, Slytherin would not have phrased it so obscurely...

Muttering under his breath, Tom put the book back. He did not believe his ancestor had wanted to kill every non-pure-blood. There were only so many people in the wizarding world; if there had been a major purge, there would have been no one left long ago. After getting beaten up once, he insisted on clinging to Tom every day. He was even more annoying than that bastard from House of Malfoy!

"Boss! Boss~ Don't walk so fast~ As long as you take me on as your underling, I'll never betray you for the rest of my life!" Nott eagerly caught up.
