Background / History

After Qian Xunji’s death, Qian Daoliu relinquished most of his authority and secluded himself within the Worship Hall. He considered Bibi Dong’s ruthlessness more suited to leading the era’s Martial Soul Hall, though he remained deeply distrustful of her conduct. 113

He is the grandfather of Qian Renxue and Qian Renshang. When the three-year-old Qian Renshang disappeared from Martial Soul Hall, Qian Daoliu furiously accused Bibi Dong of harming him and spent the following three years using Martial Soul Hall’s resources to search for him. 30 41

Qian Daoliu later learned that Qian Renxue had ordered attempts on Qian Renshang’s life. He forcibly extracted the truth from Porcupine Douluo and Serpent Spear Douluo, confronted Qian Renxue, and resolved to find Qian Renshang personally. 114 115

His reunion with Qian Renshang was initially conciliatory. He tested his grandson while disguised as a black-robed man, then accepted that Qian Renshang would not return to Martial Soul Hall after Gu Yuena explained the trauma associated with it. 120 121 123

The Angel God’s revelations and recurring dreams of a Dark Angel destroying Martial Soul Hall gradually turned Qian Daoliu against Qian Renshang.
