Merus, a Saiyan Wants to See You
"Taken care of. I successfully subdued those two Saiyans headed for Earth." Jaco grinned.
Iilik looked at Jaco in utter shock.
"Heh, that's why I'm an elite." Jaco wore a smug expression.
"As expected of Officer Jaco... That's incredible." Iilik was deeply impressed. "How old are those two Saiyans?"
"They're both only five years old," Jaco answered truthfully.
"I see... So they don't have much Battle Power, then?" Iilik let out a slight sigh of relief.
"No, one of them is very strong." Jaco's expression turned grave as he lowered his voice. "I had to talk my head off before I finally managed to persuade him."
"Persuade?" Iilik was somewhat bewildered and muttered, "Can Saiyans be persuaded?"
"That's not important." Jaco waved a hand and changed the subject. "Is Officer Merus there?"
"He is," Iilik replied.
"Help me connect the call to him. I have something to discuss with Officer Merus," Jaco said.
"Alright." Iilik transferred the communication to Merus's room.
Soon, Merus appeared on Jaco's screen.
"It's Jaco. Is something the matter?" Merus asked politely.
"Merus... do you want to go hide somewhere?" Jaco advised in a lowered voice.
"Go hide somewhere?" Merus was slightly taken aback.
"Yes, just find any excuse and go hide for a while," Jaco said quietly.
"What happened, Jaco?" Merus asked.
"A Saiyan wants to see you!" Jaco's face was grave.
"A Saiyan? You mean the Saiyans, that warrior race?" Merus immediately understood.
"Yes, that's right." Jaco nodded.
"If he wants to see me, then let him come see me. Why would I need to hide?" Merus smiled faintly.
"There are two Saiyans on Earth. One looks pretty average, but his attendant is incredibly powerful, even though that attendant is only five years old..." Jaco's expression grew even more solemn, fear surfacing in his eyes as he spoke.
"Did he say why he wanted to see me?" Merus asked.
"No. He only said he wanted to have a chat with you," Jaco replied.
"Then it's fine. I'll talk to him." Merus smiled. "Not every Saiyan is a bad person."
"Anyway, I've delivered the message. If you refuse to go hide, don't blame me if you get beaten up later," Jaco huffed.
"Don't worry, nothing will happen." Merus smiled confidently, then added, "By the way, you probably don't know this yet, but Planet Vegeta, where the Saiyans lived, has already been destroyed."
"Planet Vegeta was destroyed? Heaven truly has eyes..." Jaco cried out in delight. "They must have been punished for all their evil deeds... Right, how was it destroyed?"
"Apparently, it was struck by a massive meteorite," Merus replied. "But that wasn't what actually happened."
"Oh? Then what was the reason?" Jaco paused in surprise.
"According to our investigation, Frieza personally destroyed Planet Vegeta," Merus said thoughtfully.
"Frieza, the Cosmic Emperor?" Jaco's expression changed as he shouted, immediately turning to look behind him.
Fortunately, the Spaceship was well soundproofed. Only after confirming that no one had heard him did Jaco take a deep breath.
"Why? Aren't the Saiyans Frieza's soldiers? Why would Frieza destroy their planet?" Jaco asked curiously.
"Because Frieza feared that a Super Saiyan or a Super Saiyan God might be born among the Saiyans," Merus told him frankly.
"Super Saiyan? Super Saiyan God? What are those?" Jaco became even more curious.
"Legend says that a Super Saiyan is the strongest warrior in the universe," Merus said with a smile.
"So a Super Saiyan might threaten Frieza's position as Cosmic Emperor, which is why he wiped out all the Saiyans, right?" Jaco nodded thoughtfully.
"Yes," Merus replied. "There are fewer than ten Saiyans left now."
"They got what they deserved. The Saiyans occupied quite a few planets and killed many innocent people." Jaco snorted, showing no sympathy for the Saiyans' fate.
After all, the Saiyans had indeed helped Frieza commit countless evils over the years, conquering many planets and causing countless deaths.
"Perhaps that is the Saiyans' evil..." Merus nodded slightly.
"Evil? Yes, you're right. Everyone can see the Saiyans' evil," Jaco agreed.
"But in my view, goodness exists among Saiyans as well," Merus said pensively.
"Don't joke around. How could there possibly be a kind Saiyan?" Jaco shook his head. "There's only evil in their hearts."
The two were still talking.
Suddenly, Iilik's communication cut in.
"That Iilik... Why is he cutting in at a time like this?" Jaco chuckled and pressed the answer button.
Iilik's image appeared on the other side of the screen.
It was essentially a group video call now.
"Iilik, what is it? Did something happen?" Jaco asked curiously.
"Jaco, this is bad. A Frieza Force Spaceship is heading in your direction. If nothing goes wrong, your two ships will encounter each other in space in another two minutes," Iilik said at once.
"A Frieza Force Spaceship?" Jaco froze. "Did Frieza himself come?"
"It's not Frieza." Iilik shook his head.
"As long as it's not Frieza, it should just be some scouts or something, right?" Jaco guessed.
"They aren't scouts. It's someone extremely terrifying." Iilik's expression grew increasingly grave.
"Who?" Jaco was getting a little scared.
"Kuriza." Iilik spoke the two syllables.
"Kuriza? Who's that? Is he famous?" Jaco blanked out.
"Frieza's son," Iilik said heavily.
"W-What did you say? Frieza's son? Since when did that guy have a son?" Jaco cried out in shock.
"He's had one for a long time..." Iilik explained. "Frieza and the others belong to the Frost Demon Clan. After his son was born, he was frozen on their home planet. Legend says that the longer they remain frozen, the stronger they become. Frieza seemed to have been frozen for five years, his older brother Cooler for six, while Kuriza was only frozen for three... But Kuriza may have been unable to bear the loneliness and came out early."
