Field Protocols

• Field teams use coordinated tactical formations and psionic firearms rather than conventional police equipment. 6

Yellow Springs and Collaborators

The Department operates Yellow Springs, a top-secret internal application for registered Anomalous Humans. It functions as an official mission board, intelligence forum, exchange market, and reporting channel. 8

Prospective full agents are offered combat training, metaphysics instruction, advanced equipment access, housing, food, benefits, mission subsidies, and Merit Point rewards. In return, they must obey command-center orders and commit themselves to protecting the country. 8

Internal Affairs and Oversight

The Department maintains disciplinary rules for agents and collaborators, including investigations, suspension, confinement, and restrictions imposed for security reasons. Qin Feng was confined at headquarters following Gao Tianliang’s death, officially under internal investigation and protected from the Gao Family’s expected retaliation. 92 93

Its internal politics are affected by influential hereditary families. Inspector Gao attempted to compel Qin Feng to disclose his powers and armaments, but Wang Jianguo invoked the Collaborator Privacy Protection Regulations to refuse the demand. 67

The Department also recognizes exceptional performance: Qin Feng’s records from E-Class through quasi-B-Class incidents were displayed as predominantly S-Class evaluations, while some of his unconventional methods were incorporated into training material for new agents. 67 59
