At the aircraft base, Fitz took out his treasured miniature drone and prepared to send it into the slaughterhouse to investigate.

"Are you sure you can handle this?"

Hearing Ward's question, Fitz, seated in front of the computer, gave him a puzzled look. "Th-this isn't difficult. I'm just operating a drone."

"But you're investigating a place that may be full of symbiotes. Not to mention, you'll be facing a serial killer."

Ward placed one hand on Fitz's shoulder and tapped it with his fingers. "Are you sure you can take whatever you might see next?"

After a few seconds of silence, Fitz promptly got up and handed him the controller. "Here. It works pretty much like a game controller. And when you're done, don't tell me what was inside."

Ward watched Fitz leave with a faintly amused expression, then sat down at the computer and began the investigation. Most of the others had not come into this room. Only Peter had stayed behind.

"Are you sure you want to stay?" Ward asked Peter as well. He knew Spider-Man was only a student who had not even started his sophomore year of high school yet, and what was about to happen might be far too horrifying for a minor.

But Peter was not scared in the slightest. He merely shrugged. "If you'd been to a universe where all the Avengers were zombies eating living people right in front of you, you probably wouldn't think this was that disgusting."

"That really was a... memorable experience."

For a moment, Ward did not know how to describe Peter's eventful life, so he simply started the mission. The sphere carrying the miniature drone rapidly descended, and the dragonfly-sized drone began its exploration.
