Compared to becoming an Avenger, Peter Parker had something more important to do: tonight's Homecoming Dance.
He had two things to deal with at the same time. One was later and not much trouble—Sheriff George had actually made time today and planned to drive Peter and Gwen to the Homecoming Dance that evening, so Peter needed to set aside some time to dress himself up. He couldn't let Spider-Man business leave him frazzled with no time to spare.
The other was that Harry had successfully invited a girl named Liz to the Homecoming Dance. He was incredibly nervous and had sought out Peter and Amadeus to help him pick out a suit and prepare properly. Amadeus had refused, so only Peter went with him.
"Thanks to Quentin causing trouble so early in the morning, I've got plenty of time. And thanks to New York City being so peaceful again. Better not say that."
Thinking about how he had spent the last two days talking about how peaceful New York City was, only for Mysterio to show up, Peter felt it was best not to tempt fate.
And then there was... the mastermind behind it all.
After Quentin Beck was arrested, he had not revealed who had hired him—not because he was tough, but because he was afraid. Afraid that the mastermind would simply kill him. Considering Quentin had used Stark Industries' old anti-aircraft missiles, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s outdated LMDs, and so many advanced drones in this battle, the list of possible sponsors had narrowed further—Kingpin, Hydra, or A.I.M. Peter could not think of any other possibilities.
Kingpin was the easiest to investigate, but Peter had broken into Fisk Tower twice and found no clues whatsoever. If he wanted to investigate Kingpin, he would probably have to find another way. For example, he
