After completing its trials and reaching Level 99, he climbed the sacred mountain and touched a crimson-heating Stone Sword that he could not release.

• Tang Lan trusted the transforming Flame Queen, gave her three Heart of the Earth Fragments, and welcomed her reborn as Tang Lingling before restoring the underground core and passing the Fourth Gate.
• Tang Lan collected seven Ten Thousand Year Ice Marrow Flowers with the Two-Headed Sky Eagle, passed the Fifth Gate, and fused three Million Year Soul Rings.

Tang Lan returned to the Tang Sect, crushed the allied army, and launched a campaign to bring the surrounding sects under its control. After the Hidden Moon Sect, East Rising Pavilion, and Spirit Martial Gate joined him, he examined a strange Soul Bone that responded to his power over life and death.

• Tang Lan returned to Tang City during the allied army’s attack, defeated its forces, and forced Old Ghost Li Yuan to submit the Ghost Shadow Sect to the Tang Sect.
• Tang Lan distributed rare soul bones, put Bell in charge of reforming captured enemies, and led a night raid that ended the Rizhao Sect as an independent sect.
• Tang Lan brought his companions into the Hundred Yue Landscape Map to cultivate, where they used spirit treasures to make major breakthroughs.
• After Ning Tian learned that the Holy Spirit Cult had attacked the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile School, Tang Lan comforted her and accepted her mother’s jade pendant as they acknowledged their feelings.
• Tang Lan and Wu Feng promised to marry Ning Tian and Wu Feng, then Tang Lan led a northern campaign to bring three sects under Tang Sect control.

Tang Lan’s forces defeated the Sky Que Sect and brought Purple Moon Sect and Iron Sword Pavilion under the Tang Sect’s influence. They then attacked the North Star Merchant Guild, where Pei Shao was captured after Tang Lan killed Pei Zhen.

• Tang Lan refined the half-black, half-white soul bone and led the Tang Sect through victories that drew the attention of the Sky Que Sect and other factions.
• Tang Lan and his companions rescued Cao Ran’s group from the Giant Whale Gang, then recruited the four young Soul Masters into the Tang Sect.
• Tang Lan infiltrated Sky Que City with Tang Ya, Chen Yue, and Lingling, where Chen Yue turned Yun Sheng into an informant inside the Sky Que Sect.
• After learning that the Sky Que Sect planned to seize Purple Moon Sect and attack Iron Sword Pavilion, Tang Lan’s group intervened at Purple Moon Mountain, where Tang Lan defeated Ju Yue and brought Sha Ran under his command.
• Tang Lan made Purple Moon Sect an affiliated sect, then went to Iron Sword Pavilion, killed Tai'an, rescued Dongfang Gu’s daughter, and secured the pavilion’s submission to the Tang Sect.
• Tang Lan’s allied forces marched on Sky Que Sect headquarters and then made the sect the Tang Sect’s northern main branch.
• Tang Lan led nearly three thousand Soul Masters against Beidou City, where Wu Wei and Sha Ran accused the North Star Merchant Guild of plotting against Tang City.

Tang Lan returned to Shrek, halted the impending Beast Tide by negotiating with Di Tian, and established a way for Soul Beasts and humans to form Soul Spirit Contracts. After the Spirit Derivation Tower was built, Tang Lan returned to Tang City and learned the Dou Ling Empire was close to collapse under the Holy Spirit Cult’s counterattack.

• Tang Lan brought Shu Tongbo into the Tang Sect, received the Dou Ling Empire’s plea for help, and backed Xu Sanshi as its new ruler while keeping the sect focused on its own territory.
• Tang Lan rescued Lu Xin'er from the bandits who killed her family, helped her obtain her first Soul Ring, and brought her to Shrek Academy as the Beast Tide threat grew.
• Tang Lan met Wang Qiuer, learned she was the Three-Eyed Golden Lion in human form, and took her to the Star Dou Great Forest to negotiate with Di Tian.
• Tang Lan defeated Di Tian in a brief clash and learned the Holy Spirit Cult had enlisted him to provoke disorder, then persuaded him to recall the Soul Beasts and make room for them to live.
• Tang Lan taught Wang Qiuer the Soul Spirit Contract, allowing her to bond with the dying Night Ape, and agreed with Di Tian to build the jointly supervised Spirit Derivation Tower.
• Tang Lan and the Tang Sect and Shrek teams completed the tower, where Ling Lan fused with the Thorn Flower King as her Soul Spirit, while war and rebellion spread across the empires.
• Tang Lan returned to Tang City with Lingling, Tang Ya, Tang Wutong, Wang Qiuer, and the others, then learned from Xu Sanshi’s letters that the Holy Spirit Cult’s counterattack threatened to topple the Dou Ling Empire within two months.
