Chen Haoran frowned slightly when he heard this. The force in his hand unconsciously increased, pressing down on the person beneath him until he let out a muffled groan. At least he sounded like a living person now.
"They claim to be S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, but we haven't verified whether that's true yet. How is he?"
Maya looked at Chen Haoran and answered honestly.
"Fire-type energy has invaded his body. If I hadn't come and removed it, he wouldn't have survived for more than three minutes."
Chen Haoran answered calmly, looking at the man beneath him with some confusion.
"Strange. Why would someone from S.H.I.E.L.D. come looking for trouble with the boss? Aren't they on good terms?"
Chen Haoran lightly touched the man's chest with his fingertips, slowly drawing the energy out of his body.
As the energy dissipated into the air, the surrounding environment grew noticeably hotter.
"This kind of control isn't easy. Who did this? It shouldn't have been Reiz. His energy is more like an outward shockwave. Could it have been Rando's attack?"
Seeing the man's breathing gradually steady, Chen Haoran asked curiously.
"It was me. I don't think I can release flames outward like Reiz, but I feel like I can bring out the molten effect in both hands more easily than Reiz can."
Rando looked at his hands. They soon began to shimmer with molten lava, and the energy faintly spilling from them formed streaks of blazing light in the air, like a special effect.
Chen Haoran glanced at him and smiled faintly. "Its destructive power isn't as strong as Reiz's, but it's pretty useful for catching people off guard at close range. Haha, not many people can withstand this kind of scorching energy."
