Leo followed J'Rell slowly downstairs. There was an elevator, but J'Rell seemed to have no intention of using it, walking down one floor at a time.
Leo did not mind. His eyes glimmered with Golden Light as he observed everything around him. Many Black people moved about throughout the building.
No one paid attention to the two of them as they walked, everyone busy with their own tasks.
They all carried large quantities of raw vibranium, casually handling this Precious Metal worth ten thousand dollars per gram and virtually priceless.
The sight made Leo's eyes heat up. He suddenly remembered that he still had several vibranium reactors sitting at home.
Should I head back and let Aunt and the others know while I'm at it? Right, New Year is coming soon. Looks like I really should make a trip back.
Getting worked up, getting worked up.
Leo calmed himself. Looking at the vast amount of the finest metal currently available on Earth, he could not help feeling a little excited.
After being awed by the power of the Bifrost and having his desire to grow stronger stirred by the Destroyer and Thor, this was only natural.
A set of Footsteps sounded behind him. Though faint, Leo still noticed them.
Prince T'Challa caught up, sent J'Rell away, and took over to bring Leo to see the Energy Center.
"Prince T'Challa, the Black Panther Iron Man Armor is highly defensive, but it is still somewhat lacking in portability. It could be improved."
"Le..." T'Challa's heavy African accent prevented him from pronouncing the name properly.
"Just call me Leo. That's what my friends call me."
"Alright. Is Mr. Leo from China? It seems that you know Wakanda very well."
"More or less. I do know Wakanda fairly well, but as for my sources of information, I doubt you'd want to know. In any case, aside from me, no one in the outside world should know Wakanda better."
Leo's eyes scanned T'Challa, who had consumed the Heart-shaped herb. "I know some things about Wakanda, but I also understand that you don't want to be disturbed by outsiders. I won't reveal anything and make things difficult for you."
"I only came here to train. I won't disrupt your daily lives."
His muscles were extremely strong, likely reaching twenty-one points. He had already surpassed the limits of the human body.
Whether it was endurance, strength, speed, or Recovery Ability, he far surpassed ordinary people.
Even compared with Captain America Rogers, who had been injected with the Super Soldier Serum, his Physical Fitness was probably not much different.
However, the serum could slow a person's aging, while the Heart-shaped herb could allow someone to enter the Spirit World and communicate with their soul.
That final trait made Leo curious about the Heart-shaped herb. If he had the chance, he could take one and examine it.
"This belongs to you, Mr. Leo. You brought it in from the outside, right? Vibranium should be extremely scarce in the outside world. Where did this Metal Dart come from?"
T'Challa held out the Metal Dart that had been found on Leo and handed it back to him.
"In 1992, Ulysses Klaue broke into Wakanda and stole vibranium. How do you know no one continued working with him afterward? I took this from Klaue."
Leo casually accepted it and clipped it onto the buckle at his waist.
"Was he also the one who told you about Wakanda?"
T'Challa's hatred for Klaue deepened by several degrees.
"Not exactly. Klaue cares a great deal about Wakanda. He doesn't want anyone else to know about this place, so he wouldn't tell others that information."
Leo and T'Challa continued chatting casually, exchanging a few words here and there.
T'Challa wanted to draw out information about Leo—his background, his abilities, and what exactly he wanted.
Leo understood their distrust, but he did not care. Nor did he give them any information of practical value.
The two descended deeper and deeper, reaching underground as the light gradually dimmed.
Shuri, who had been following behind them the whole time, suddenly jumped out. "Brother, are you going to my laboratory?"
"No, no, Shuri. Go back immediately."
"No, Brother. I happen to be heading to the laboratory too." Shuri moved closer. "Your name is Leo, right? I heard it just now."
"Oh, so you're Shuri—the genius girl with all those little inventions related to vibranium science?"
Leo looked at the ten-year-old girl before him. She was three years younger than he was, yet she possessed an intense curiosity and talent for vibranium technology. Later on, she would even control the technological lifeline of all Wakanda.
Shuri was the one who upgraded Black Panther's suit with nanotechnology.
She had also enhanced the Kimoyo Beads, allowing them to communicate, record video, project holograms, connect to other terminals, and function as EMP beads and healing beads. The former could selectively disable the engines of vehicles in a convoy, while the latter could seal and stabilize penetrating gunshot wounds to the spine.
There were also Ring Blade, Vibranium Ikelwa Dagger, Gauntlet Sonic Cannon, Split-Toe Boots, Sonic Resonance Mining Cannon, Adhesive Communication Patch capable of unlimited-range audio surveillance, Eagle Talon Fighter, Multi-Function Aircraft, and countless other pieces of advanced technology.
It could be said that she alone bore Wakanda's technological burden while also taking responsibility for healing and saving lives.
"Haha, I didn't expect even an outsider to have heard my name. But my Standard Vibranium Spear hasn't been completely finished yet. I've improved the energy firing mechanism from the original spear, making it more stable and controllable, and it also—"
Ten-year-old Shuri spoke excitedly.
Before she could finish, T'Challa pulled her aside. "Go back immediately and stay with Father."
"No, I'm going to the laboratory."
Shuri said stubbornly, then ran ahead first.
Leo and T'Challa continued walking for a while before arriving in a vast underground space filled with numerous huge power-generating devices.
They were primarily made of vibranium, with a massive block of vibranium at the center supplying power. It was somewhat like Tony Stark's Arc Reactor, only much larger.
T'Challa looked at the equipment underground and said, "These energy stacks supply power to half of Wakanda. They mainly make use of Vibranium's reactive changes to produce a high-intensity energy reaction with no pollution or residue, and the consumption isn't very high."
"Vibranium can actively release energy?"
"Yes, but it needs to be processed slightly to release the energy within the Vibranium Ore. Of course, Vibranium that has already been processed into finished products no longer contains this peculiar energy."
Shuri suddenly popped out from the side and said.
Golden Light flickered in Leo's eyes as he saw through the outer walls and caught sight of part of the outside.
It was a massive underground cavern, with several enormous Vibranium Ore support pillars standing in the center, as though a huge hollow had been excavated from the original meteorite.
All the metal ore around them was covered in faintly luminous pale-blue cracks, enough to illuminate the entire underground cavern.
Countless strange tracks crisscrossed the center alongside several unusual structures. From time to time, a Maglev Train loaded with Vibranium roared past.
At the same time, the white pillars lining the tracks emitted strange sound waves, causing the glow of the Vibranium Ore inside the trains to dim.
Leo stepped forward and blocked T'Challa's path. Looking at Shuri, he said, "Little Princess, tell me how Vibranium Ore releases energy."
