Difan saw Leo's reaction and laughed self-deprecatingly.

What he found most laughable was that he clearly understood the Infinity Stones so well—he could even be called the foremost expert in the universe—yet in the end, he hadn't obtained a single one.

He had never even possessed one before. That was truly ridiculous.

"That's right. You're correct. The Infinity Stones do have a mutually enhancing effect, but the pressure they place on their user is immense."

"The pressure increases exponentially with the use of each additional stone. There probably aren't many people in the universe capable of enduring it."

Leo explained this to Difan.

Difan didn't turn back. Instead, he continued walking forward. "Oh, right. I once read two lines of ancient writing in an old book."

"Translated, they should mean, 'The mind can control everything, but the soul is the true essence.'"

"To be honest, I don't even know whether those words have anything to do with the Infinity Stones. But I don't mind telling you. That ancient ruin has already been destroyed, and this is the last clue I have."

Difan said no more. That was all the information he knew. After seeing Leo, Difan understood that he probably had no chance of obtaining the Infinity Stones himself, but he could still do Leo a favor.

After all, in Difan's view, Leo might well become the ruler of the next era. Establishing a relationship with him in advance could never hurt.

"You really don't have any information about the Soul Stone?"

"No, I don't. Who knows which planet that thing is hiding on? I went through great trouble just to find the location of the Orb of Power, only for so
