Everyone boarded the nearby Quinjet, which carried them toward the Sokovia Hydra Base.
The place was not far from downtown Sokovia. In fact, most of the urban area lay within firing range.
Perhaps when Hydra Base was established, they had intended to threaten S.H.I.E.L.D. with the lives of the civilians in the city.
But this time, they were not facing S.H.I.E.L.D. They were facing the Avengers.
A large force advanced toward Hydra Base from the ground.
Barton had been right. Most people were there to clean up afterward, while only a few of them would still be venturing deep into enemy territory.
The aircraft quickly approached Hydra Base and carried them directly to the foot of the mountain, within the defensive perimeter of Hydra Base.
Two hours earlier, the outermost defenders had already been cleared out by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. That counted as S.H.I.E.L.D. contributing to the operation.
They had also prepared more equipment and combat vehicles for them.
There were two four-wheel-drive combat jeeps, as well as the special motorcycle Rogers wanted. As for the other firepower, there was plenty of it.

The quiver Barton carried was loaded with over a hundred arrows of various types, along with specialized arrowheads, enough to maximize his abilities.
As for Natasha, she had brought only a small amount of firepower so she could fight flexibly. After all, weapons could always be taken directly from the enemy.
Rogers only needed his shield.
Thor and Banner did not need anything at all. However, Banner, sitting on the aircraft, was clearly in a complicated and heavy mood.
Tony only needed his Mark XLIII, but he was still somewhat dissatisfied with the armor's firepower and had been pondering the Mark XLV the entire time.
Leo needed none of those firearms
