Arc 1The Whirlpool Defense

Xun Uzumaki took command as Kirigakure invaded the Land of Whirlpools and led the Uzumaki Clan in a campaign of traps, explosive tags, and hit-and-run attacks. Kirigakure’s fleet was devastated, but the fighting continued, and Xun ordered his clan to honor their dead and keep delaying the enemy.

  • Xun took command of the Land of Whirlpools, sent civilians into underground shelters, and organized the Uzumaki Clan’s defenses against Kirigakure.

Arc 2The Whirlpool War

Xun Uzumaki led the Land of Whirlpools through Kirigakure’s invasion, using traps, Shadow Clones, and the Tailed Beasts to force a withdrawal. As he prepared to negotiate compensation, he also began securing supplies, sharing Sealing Jutsu on his terms, and urging the Senju to consider leaving Konoha.

  • Shusen Senju pledged the Senju Clan’s help to the Uzumaki, while Xun planned a future for the Land of Whirlpools based on refugees, production, and greater self-reliance.
  • Xun used repeated Explosive Tag attacks and Shadow Clones to exhaust Kirigakure’s forces, then arranged for Uzumaki fighters to disguise themselves as Konoha ninja and implicate Konoha in the conflict.

Arc 3Refugees and the Land of Whirlpools

Xun Uzumaki forced Kirigakure to accept his terms, then focused on rebuilding the Land of Whirlpools and bringing in refugees. His recruitment drive drew the attention of Konoha and Root, while Yakushi Nonō and several children became caught in a dangerous escape.

  • Xun Uzumaki delayed Kirigakure’s negotiations over breakfast, rejected its demands for the Three-Tails, and held firm until Hozuki Gengetsu agreed to pay the Land of Whirlpools.

Xun Uzumaki brought refugees to the Land of Whirlpools, confronted Konoha over its treatment of the Uzumaki and met with the Senju and Uchiha clans. The arc ended with Xun proclaiming the Republic of the Land of Whirlpools and announcing its first government ministries.
