Background / History

Fang Xuan began as a feared local ruffian leader in Pingjiang County. He extorted fishermen and residents for survival, yet gave part of his earnings to his follower One Line Sky for his pregnant wife. His harsh worldview was shaped by poverty and violence, but his priority remained supporting Fang Li and Fang Lan, his younger siblings. 1 2

Old Man Yu recognized Fang Xuan as a martial arts prodigy and entrusted him with the Dragon Whale Technique, explaining the Five Heavenly Gates and urging him to become a true martial artist. Fang Xuan used whale blood and relentless body-tempering to rise beyond the limits of an ordinary street fighter. 7 8 11

After consolidating power within the Black Whale Gang, Fang Xuan became a Hall Master and led his followers against the South Hall.
