Cai Tanggu said in a deep voice, "Venerable Luo, how can you be so unreasonable? Su Lingyi was just rescued. Look at how he has been tormented. The facts are right before your eyes, yet you pretend not to see them?"

"Although our Fish Abyss Academy is a place of learning, we are qualified to participate in matters of seeking immortals. That is to share the burden with His Majesty. Your words, Venerable Luo, are quite unreasonable."

Luo Xianshan, however, was nonchalant and laughed, "What can you do even if I'm being unreasonable? Back then, our leader directly cursed out the Imperial Tutor in court. As his subordinate, I naturally couldn't lose face. Even if Chancellor Chang himself came, I'd still say the same thing. If you have the guts, have Chancellor Chang come find me. I'll beat his back teeth out."

Cai Tanggu's face darkened. "The Martial God Temple is indeed full of vulgar people!"

Luo Xianshan said, "The whole world knows that. It's foolish of you to try and reason with me."

Cai Tanggu was silent for a moment. "Let's pretend this never happened. I'll leave with Su Lingyi and the others. Venerable Luo won't say anything else, right?"

Luo Xianshan laughed, "I'll say what I want to say, why do I need a reason? Besides, this matter is for the Young Marquis to decide. If he doesn't let you go, what's the point of me saying anything or not?"

Jiang Wang hesitated.

Jiang Wang narrowed his eyes and said, "To do all these things, Brother Su will likely have a very hard time."

Su Lingyi staggered to Jiang Wang, glanced at his dangling severed arm, and said hatefully, "Everything you've given me, I will repay a hundredfold. Jiang, don't be too arrogant. Su Lingyi sneered, "You need to understand one thing: I am the direct disciple of the Chancellor, and the Chancellor's teacher is the Imperial Tutor. In a sense, my teacher and the current Emperor are fellow disciples. I am also a grand-disciple of the Imperial Tutor. Do you really think the Martial God Temple can help you?"

Jiang Wang's expression cleared. "So you're not that foolish, you just think you have strong backing. Your identity is indeed quite intimidating."

He then added, "But if the Imperial Tutor knew he had a grand-disciple like you, he probably wouldn't acknowledge it. No matter how eloquently you speak, what does it have to do with me?
