Background / History

Shi Er was born from the City of Slaughter itself. Its slaughter, evil, depravity, and accumulated negative emotions formed a special power inside her. The same power made the Fallen Ones fear her, but it was unstable and continuously consumed her physical form; without intervention, she expected to dissolve back into the city within three to five years. 105

She served openly as Slaughter City’s reception attendant and guide, leading newcomers through the Outer City and answering their questions during their first twelve hours. Despite the apparent normality of this role, residents visibly feared her. 101

Shi Er first met Qian Chengxiao when he entered Slaughter City as “922.” Her attempt to stir his desires failed, intriguing her; their subsequent contact caused her cultivation and Slaughter Power to increase dramatically. 101 103

After her constitution changed through Qian Chengxiao, she gained control over the negative power in her body and became able to leave Slaughter City. Qian Chengxiao later gave her Tang Chen’s condensed blood and the Asura Divine Sword, drawing the Asura God’s attention. 105 109

The Asura God identified Shi Er as an Innate Being nurtured by the City of Slaughter and a suitable successor to his divine position. Her assessment named her a Perfect Inheritor and granted her the Top-Level God Trial. 109

Behind her lively behavior is a ruthless nature shaped by Slaughter City. She feels excitement at violence, shows no remorse in killing intruders, and enjoys watching enemies succumb to her abilities. 104 106

She is intensely attached to Qian Chengxiao, but she is not wholly irrational. When told that leaving before completing the Asura inheritance would destroy her opportunity to become a god, she accepts the separation and resolves to finish her trials. 112
