Background / History

Miravia originally lacked a name and had spent decades imprisoned in a Crystal Coffin after absorbing Residue, a power tainted by negative emotions. Li Weide named her “Miravia,” combining references to phantoms and dreams in recognition of her Nightmare Magic; she accepted the name with visible satisfaction. Once freed, she intended to learn about the world from a new perspective and reunite with her friends. 376

Her fear of once again losing control over Residue led her to ask Li Weide to remove it completely. Although she wished to reclaim the peaceful years she had lost, Li Weide challenged her desire to fade into obscurity and drew her into his larger ambitions. 395

She later learned that she is not native to her current World Line. According to Death, her soul gradually adapted to the body she uses in this world, allowing her to exist independently of its World Line. This made it safe for Li Weide to disclose his mission and enlist her help in preparing for the future conflict. 501

Personality

Miravia is composed, perceptive, and intensely pragmatic. She reacts quickly to danger, plans around an opponent's abilities, and prefers decisive force over prolonged hesitation. Her combat philosophy is blunt: an enemy who can be killed with a Killing Curse should not be given time to recover. 396 538

She is also highly competitive and openly enjoys battle, earning the description of a “battle maniac.” Despite this ruthlessness, she protects Nagini, worries about innocent casualties, and moved her battle with Dracula away from a populated area to prevent him from feeding on civilians. 384 399 444

Her history with Residue remains a source of guilt. Sebastian's accusations that she once pursued power through morally dubious means deeply unsettled her, though she ultimately distinguishes between former friends and the “demons” they became. 483 485

Miravia distrusts Li Weide's secrecy and manipulation, but repeatedly chooses to support him when he proves his commitment or reveals the stakes. Their relationship is marked by arguments, mutual teasing, and strong operational trust. 413 449 501

Appearance

Miravia is a beautiful young woman with fair skin, cold and smooth hands, and a composed bearing. She is frequently seen carrying and maintaining her wand; when preparing for combat, she can transform her clothing into combat gear. 443 489 554

  • Often described as elegant but dangerous, particularly when using Nightmare Magic. 376
  • Uses Basilisk skin-and-scale Combat Suits as a member of Hydra's core. 489
  • Her Necromancy Law manifests as dense, cold white mist. 535

Abilities & Skills

Nightmare Magic

Miravia's signature magic allows her to interfere with consciousness and blur the boundary between dreams and reality.

  • Travels through dreams and weaves stories or illusions within them. 376
  • Manipulated the Department of Mysteries head to gain information and secure entry. 391
  • Disoriented Camilla at a critical moment, causing her attempted evasion to fail against Fiendfyre. 441

  • Reinforces Shield Charms enough to withstand Dracula's telekinesis and vampire magic. 444
  • Employs wide-area attacks without sacrificing lethality, including split Killing Curses. 396
  • Uses high-output spells against powerful vampires, including Fiendfyre, lightning, weather magic, and corrosive rain. 441 444 445

Dark Arts and Combat Magic

Miravia is an experienced duelist and instructor whose fighting style emphasizes overwhelming, efficient offense.

  • Casts Killing Curses and can split a single curse into more than ten lethal strands. 396
  • Trained Li Weide in combat techniques and later offered to train Tom and Nagini. 403
  • Uses Fiendfyre with precise control, shaping it into circling fiery serpents and offensive constructs. 441 485
  • Detonated her own Shield Charm to repel Dracula's werewolf form without harming herself. 445
  • Fought Dracula alone until exhaustion and defeated him before Akasha intervened. 444 445

Necromancy Law

Her awakened Law is associated with death, the Misty Illusion Realm, and undead.
