Background / History

Commoner origins and alliance with Xu Tianran

Ju Zi was born a commoner. Her desire to avenge her father became the principal reason she pursued power, with Duke White Tiger, Dai Hao, identified as her main target 185.

During her early travels, Crown Prince Xu Tianran saved her, and she subsequently became one of his confidants. When another imperial prince arranged an attack against him, Ju Zi took a blade in his place, saving his life. Xu Tianran survived but lost both legs and his reproductive capability 185.

Ju Zi knowingly became his Crown Princess. Their marriage concealed his condition and elevated her position, while giving her access to the power needed for revenge. Following Xu Tianran's accession, Ju Zi became the Sun Moon Empire's Empress and served as marshal during its invasion of the Star Luo Empire. Departure from the Sun Moon Empire

At Huo Yuhao's request, Xu Jie forcibly removed Ju Zi from the military camp. He staged the attack as revenge by surviving members of the former imperial family, making it appear that the Sun Moon Empress had died in the incident 352 354 355.

Ju Zi accepted her changed circumstances and drew closer to Huo Yuhao. After learning about the Soul Contract System and witnessing his contract with Little White, she recognized its potential to win support from both Soul Masters and soul beasts 355.
