What was False History?
It was a question Lu Yang had once agonized over, yet could never grasp. Now, as one of those involved, the World Honored One gave his own definition:
"False History is relative."
"From my perspective, the Light Sea truly contains a [second History], one that Chu Sheng created out of nothing through some unknown method."
Lu Yang was not surprised by this.
In fact, as early as that lifetime of [Fire in the Sky], he had known that False History had not been created by the World Honored One. The World Honored One had merely used it to attain enlightenment.
At this point, the World Honored One's eyes filled with wariness:
"My attainment of enlightenment was thanks to it. Si Sui's death was also because of it. And what I did when I attained enlightenment was, in truth, merely alter the sequence."
"In the First History, I attained enlightenment five thousand years ago. Then, using Alter Cause, Change Effect, and with the aid of [Heaven's Dao], I interfered with the Dao Lord battle one hundred and twenty-nine thousand six hundred years ago—the point where all karma began—and thus exchanged the order of the First History and the second History."
"Before that, the second History was the False History."
"After that, the second History became official history, while the First History became the so-called False History instead. Si Sui was trapped to death within it as a result."
The logic was simple.
Yet Lu Yang quickly realized the terrifying implication. "Senior Brother, do you mean someone had already used the second History before you?"
"Correct."
The World Honored One nodded. "I do not know who this person was, though I have my suspicions, because there are two crucial differences between the second History and the First History."
