Over the past two and a half years, he had constantly stirred the Karmic Net, searching heaven and earth for traces, yet the other party had vanished as though evaporating from the Human World.
If Covered Lamp Fire had not remained empty and shown no sign whatsoever of reviving, he might even have suspected that his plan had actually succeeded.
