Radiant World Exchange Light True Lord
The instant he heard that title, Lu Yang's first reaction was to consider its meaning. After all, a True Lord's title was not chosen casually.
Every family had its own customs.
Some True Lords liked to directly use the Image of their Fruit Position as their True Lord title, while others were more obscure, preferring to turn their titles into riddles.
But whichever it was,
a True Lord's title generally hinted at their origins; it would not be completely unrelated. For instance, a water-aspect True Lord would not take a fire-aspect honorific.
Yet in Lu Yang's view, Radiant World Exchange Light True Lord was precisely such a strange honorific. Its oddity lay in the single character "Exchange" within it.
Exchange: success, favorable perseverance.
Firm within and yielding without; Exchange is favorable through perseverance. Thus it accords with Heaven and responds to man. Most importantly, the Image of this character was actually metal among the Five Elements. A True Lord of Fire in the Sky actually has a character bearing a metal-aspect Image in his honorific. That is clearly abnormal. What is more, the character Exchange is followed by Light, making it all the more sinister. Exchange plus Light... the only thing I can deduce is luring pleasure, dimmed light. That is no good Image.
What were luring pleasure and dimmed light?
Lure meant "seduce," while Exchange meant "delight." As the name implied: seducing others into sharing joy with oneself. Such a thing was not a bright and upright Dao Path.
That made it quite thought-provoking.
For honorifics possessed symbolic meaning. No True Lord could choose one at will; its Image could even in turn affect changes in their Fruit Position.
