History

Squad Leader Zhang gave Chen Qing a damaged copy of the low-rank Iron Body Skill alongside Blood Qi Pills. The original skill circulated qi and blood through the skin and membranes, strengthening them through repeated tempering and impact resistance 4 5.

Chen Qing discovered that the Iron Body Skill resonated with his Black Tiger Fist and Black Tiger Saber Technique. Rather than practicing each art separately, he combined the defensive principles of the body-tempering art with the pouncing force of the fist and the ruthless momentum of the saber 5.

During a near-fatal battlefield breakout, the technique absorbed rampant battlefield malevolent energy while being influenced by Black Tiger Fist Intent. This transformed it into the Fierce Tiger Iron Body: a far more aggressive body-tempering art that formed an armor-like cloak of black-red malevolent energy around Chen Qing 6.

Afterward, Chen Qing used the technique to refine oppressive energy that had invaded his bones and meridians. The process tempered his skeleton into a darker, metallic state marked by faint black-red patterns, but the technique remained unstable and carried a risk of backlash 7.
