Background / History

Sun Quezi was a veteran of the Vanguard Camp and one of the two peak Skin Refining Realm soldiers in Squad Leader Zhao's section. When Chen Qing arrived as their new superior, Sun Quezi and Old Niu challenged him together, regarding the young officer with disdain. Chen Qing incapacitated both men bare-handed, establishing his authority immediately 10.

Afterward, Sun Quezi remained in Chen Qing's unit and followed his orders during the suspicious scouting mission to Black Wind Gorge, where he was assigned to secure the rear and watch the surrounding cliffs 15. His merits and strength later earned him promotion to Squad Leader alongside Old Niu after Squad Leader Li's death 17.

When Chen Qing established the 500-man Black Tiger Camp, Sun Quezi was appointed to command one of its five hundred-man teams.
