Awakening and Soul Rings

Exceptional Cases

Naturally Formed Soul Rings

Jiang Shengyu and Jiang Qingtong's Soul Rings form naturally when their Soul Power reaches a breakthrough rather than through hunting Soul Beasts. Their cultivated Soul Power continues to merge into those rings, increasing their age over time. 4 11

Jiang Shengyu regards this phenomenon as proof that Soul Rings need not inherently come from Soul Beasts and researches methods to raise ring ages through additional energy and Soul Power. 11

Multiple Martial Souls

• Twin Martial Souls are extraordinarily rare and allow a Soul Master to wield two distinct Martial Souls. Jiang Qingtong publicly revealed Mirror Flower and Evil Fire Phoenix, while Jiang Shengyu later presented Water Moon and pure Ultimate Fire. 35 187
• Triple Martial Souls were initially thought impossible, but Jiang Qingtong's use of Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion led Shrek Academy to recognize her as a possible triple-Martial-Soul wielder. 67 84

Imprint Martial Soul

Mirror Flower is an unrecorded Martial Soul capable of copying another person's Martial Soul and its soul skills for Jiang Qingtong's own use. 2 9

• Each Soul Ring can hold one Martial Soul imprint, allowing up to nine imprinted Martial Souls at full cultivation. 49
• An imprint may be overwritten, but it cannot simply be discarded. 2
• Jiang Qingtong initially imprinted Huo Yuhao's Spirit Eyes, gaining Mental Detection Sharing. 11

Martial Soul Fusion

A Martial Soul Fusion normally has a limited duration. 201

Jiang Shengyu and Jiang Qingtong possess an exceptional fusion because Water Moon and Mirror Flower were originally one Martial Soul divided between their two bodies. Their fusion, Mirror Flower, Water Moon, reunites those halves rather than functioning as an ordinary fusion. 55 201

• The fusion creates a domain isolated from the real world. 201
• Within the domain, their combined entity—the God of Destiny—is its sole ruler. 201
• Below seven rings, the God of Destiny can reach Rank Ninety-Eight Super Douluo-level power; above seven rings, it reaches Limit Douluo level. 201
• At seven rings, the fusion can combine the users' Martial Soul Avatars and deploy the abilities of their imprinted Martial Souls simultaneously. 278

Mutation and Evolution

Martial Souls can mutate independently across different bloodlines and regions. The Evil Fire Phoenix, for example, is an Ultimate Fire Martial Soul whose impure evil fire causes severe backlash to its wielders. 38 39

• Jiang Qingtong avoids prolonged use of Evil Fire Phoenix to limit the evil fire's influence. 37 39
• Ma Xiaotao's Evil Fire Phoenix later mutated completely into a Black Phoenix, creating the risk that she would become an Evil Soul Master. 134 136

Soul Ring Reform

Soul Hall seeks to replace the dependence on hunting Soul Beasts for Soul Rings. Its research begins from Jiang Shengyu and Jiang Qingtong's naturally formed rings and aims to develop cultivation methods independent of Soul Beast slaughter. 11

• An early revised system allows Soul Masters to refine corresponding Soul Beast blood to add Soul Rings and gain soul skills. 405
