Background

Jiang Shengyu arrived in the Douluo Continent through transmigration. Upon awakening, his body split into two nearly identical six-year-old children: Jiang Shengyu and Jiang Qingtong. Though physically separate, they initially possessed one soul consciousness, shared senses, and mirrored movements. He presented them as siblings to conceal their condition. 1 2

An Azure Vein Unicorn-like Soul Beast pierced both bodies through the heart. Two thousand-year Soul Rings then attached to the pair and healed their fatal injuries, drawing the attention of Kong Deming and Xuan Ziwen. Kong Deming brought them to Mingdu and later accepted both as disciples. 1 2

Jiang Shengyu subsequently learned that the being called Destiny had brought him to this world and bestowed the divided Illusion Martial Soul upon him. Water Moon belongs to Jiang Shengyu, while Mirror Flower belongs to Jiang Qingtong; the two are halves of the same Martial Soul and can reunite through fusion. 55 148 150

Jiang Shengyu is calculating, ambitious, and unusually mature for his age. At six, he proposed recreating the broad recruitment model of the former Martial Soul Hall through free Martial Soul awakenings, intending to give the Sun Moon Empire a larger pool of talent and eventually reshape the continent's power structure. 3

He is highly protective of Jiang Qingtong and Huo Yuhao, though he often expresses that care through manipulation, deception, or decisive violence. He concealed the shared-soul secret by shaping Jiang Qingtong into a quiet, introverted persona when his Spiritual Power could not fully support both bodies acting independently. 2 51 161
