The pitch-black tunnel held not a trace of light.

Everything was steeped in deathly stillness. There was no water, no light, no plants—only dusty gray caves and the occasional sound of dripping water.

Yet no one knew what lurked within this darkness.

"The Underdark is a rather unique place."

The four who had come with Fang Zheng this time all possessed excellent night vision and had no need for a light source.
