When Little Black took out a pitch-black longbow, everyone, Katarina included, was left somewhat dumbfounded.
Little Black had always fought in close combat. No one had ever heard of her having any long-range abilities. In fact, quite a few people had been interested in Little Black's magic, which let her conjure piles of weapons anytime and anywhere.
But it was only interest. After all, most mages did not need to project weapons and fight like Little Black did.

Other mages might have been wondering what Little Black intended to do, but the instant she was targeted, Katarina immediately sensed something was wrong. It was the instinct of a Barbarian. She had made a major mistake!

Before Katarina could react, Little Black had already released the string. The spiraling arrow shot toward Katarina in midair. Facing the incoming attack, Katarina hurriedly raised her hands. A series of magical glows appeared around her, and several protective spells, including Protection from Arrows, immediately enveloped her.
