After receiving Nymph's report, Fang Zheng immediately set aside his work and quickly opened his Personal Terminal.
"How is the situation?"
"Everything is normal. The signal from Relay Station C-12 remains stable."
Nymph promptly answered Fang Zheng's question.
For safety's sake, Fang Zheng had not directly connected to the forward drones and probes. Instead, he had positioned his research vessel, Neptune, in an uninhabited region on the far side of Star City and established relay stations ahead of it. This meant the probes' signals would first be transmitted to the relay stations, then processed by the research vessel, and finally compiled on Star City's terminal interface... That way, even if something on the other side noticed them, it would not be able to immediately determine Star City's true location.
Of course, this caused a delay of several minutes, but considering the need for safety and concealment, such a delay was acceptable.
