Standing atop the pitch-black tower and looking over the ruined world before him, the man wore a cold smile.
All of this had been worth it.
As an executive of the Gaia Cult, Hikawa had always dreamed of creating an entirely new world. In his vision, the world would be a land of deathly silence, where nothing changed except the passage of time. A silent world with no future, no existence—a world where everything would return to nothingness.
It was for this very purpose that he had orchestrated the "Conception of Tokyo," returning the entire world to chaos. And now, Kagutsuchi, the core of creation, had appeared. All he had to do next was gather enough Calamity Spirits to manifest his "Reason" and create a brand-new world...
The Mantra were, in the end, nothing more than a bunch of Barbarians.
Looking at the silhouette of the Mantra building in the distance, Hikawa sneered and turned to leave. He had used the Nightmare System possessed by the Void Organization to completely absorb Mantra's Calamity Spirits. Next, he only needed to use this immense power of the Calamity Spirits to summon a god and begin the path of Reason!
Arriving at the gates, Hikawa reached out energetically and pushed them open—then the smile on his face instantly froze.
Inside the gates, the pitch-black hall was completely empty. The scarlet Calamity Spirits that had once flowed through and been stored here had vanished without a trace. The bronze prayer wheel in the center of the hall was even more battered and broken, as if it had suffered some catastrophic impact.
"..."
At the sight, Hikawa's smile completely stiffened. He stared blankly at the hall before him, his mind full of question marks.
Where were my Calamity Spirits?
Where were all the Calamity Spirits
