Charles froze for a moment as the circle suddenly enveloped him. Then he warily raised both hands, magical light flashing within them. As a mage, Charles knew better than to make rash judgments about anything unfamiliar. Though he could clearly sense that the girl's power was inferior to his, she was an Angel. That alone was enough to make people treat her differently.
Yet Nymph did not attack. Instead, after casting that domain, she hid behind Fang Zheng. Fang Zheng's figure flashed, and the longsword in his hand burst into a streak of silver light. Countless Lightsabers then appeared out of thin air and blasted toward the bald mage.

Seeing the sword energy flooding toward him, Charles snorted coldly. He might look down on warriors, but that did not mean he could emerge unscathed from Fang Zheng's attack brimming with holy power. As a mage, however, he naturally had a way to deal with it. Charles took a step back and spread his hands. A barrier radiating dazzling rainbow light unfolded at his side, attempting to block Fang Zheng's all-out strike.
In Charles's view, there was nothing wrong with his response. The Rainbow Wall was enough to withstand any attack below Legend rank. All he needed to do was prepare his next spell under the Rainbow Wall's protection and kill that irritating warrior and priestess. At that thought, a cold smile appeared in Charles's eyes. His hands trembled ceaselessly as he drew magical power from the air, condensing and gathering it into a mighty force that leaped restlessly, waiting only to erupt...
