Background / History

Gu Qianqiu is a long-established Sitting-Forgetfulness Realm elder of the Grand Daoist Sect and the Peak Master of Ancient Moon Peak. He cultivates at Clear Clarity Hall through the power gathered and refined by the Submerging Dragon Grand Formation. His Yin Spirit is sufficiently advanced to divide into numerous thoughts, allowing him to cultivate while speaking or attending to other matters. 109 150 206

During the Qingyuan Temple Fair, Gu Qianqiu manifested his Yin Soul above the Dao Discussion Stage and lectured on Object Manipulation. The lecture also served as a trap intended to draw out the Life-Absence Cult. When the cult attacked, he manifested a hundred-meter Daoist Venerable and clashed with an opposing Daoist Venerable. 109 110

He first took notice of Shi Yi after the latter's rapid advancement to the Object Manipulation Realm. Impressed by Shi Yi's solid Yin Spirit, exceptional Object Manipulation results, and record-setting completion of the Heart-Questioning Path in fifty breaths, Gu Qianqiu accepted him as a registered disciple. 142 143 144

As Shi Yi's master, Gu Qianqiu guided him toward the Ancient Eastern Emperor Taiyi inheritance and the Golden Crow Carrying Sun Diagram.
