As for the remaining Supreme Dharmakaya he had also failed to obtain, it was the Myriad Spirits Chaos Body, whose acquisition requirements were even harsher than those of the Sumeru Dharmakaya.
Whether Lu Yuan could obtain the Sumeru Dharmakaya depended on how much he was willing to pay. So long as he was willing, there was still a chance. But the Chaos Myriad Spirits Body was no longer a matter of whether Lu Yuan was willing to pay the price; he simply did not meet the conditions to even come into contact with it.
For the current Lu Yuan, however—
Changing his life form—
For instance, becoming a woman—
Or becoming an animal—
Even becoming an ant—
Including all manner of theoretical elemental lifeforms—
All lay within his capabilities.
But there was one thing he could not change!
That was his own soul!
In other words, perhaps his body could be reshaped into endless forms. After all, even resurrecting someone was no longer a fantasy. Replacing one's body, or even Soul Seizing, had naturally become possible operations, so long as one was not afraid of shortening one's lifespan. Yet the existence of the soul meant that such methods were ultimately unworkable.
To put it more plainly—
Being able to preserve one's soul—
Meant possessing the ability to seize another body.
So, from the Dou Qi Continent to the Myriad Heavens—
Why was Soul Seizing so rarely heard of?
Because it was no different from drinking poison to quench thirst!
After Soul Seizing, discomfort with the body was inevitable. Its greatest shortcoming lay in the weakening of the soul's origin. Take an ordinary Dou Zun, for example. His lifespan could reach a thousand years. Suppose he died at three hundred years old; that meant he had seven hundred years of life
