I had now realized that this mission was even more complicated than I had imagined at first. Though its scope should only cover these two planets, the artifact's whereabouts were unknown, and now there was this inexplicable "Goddess" on top of everything else. Even an old hand like Viska was left confused. Same old saying: power couldn't solve every problem. If this universe were facing its end and I had to save the world, that would be easy enough. At worst, I could lead the Seven Legions on a sweep; even against the Fallen Apostles' army, I was confident I could drag them into the Empire Zone. But asking me to find a divine USB Drive that no one had ever seen and that had absolutely no clues attached to it, across two entire planets? That was troublesome. Some things couldn't be settled just by being able to fight and take a hit. Pandora could fight, right? Yet after being trained by Older Sister, she went to sleep instantly at ten-thirty every night...
Though we were still staying at Big Dumb's house, I was too embarrassed to keep occupying the main house tonight. We might have been guests, but letting ourselves sleep on beds while making the owner sleep on a straw kang in the side room just didn't sit right with me. The Louse Spirits had already learned that
