"They stole the World Heart," Viska said, looking at Sandora before turning to me. "They've done this before."
Sandora immediately frowned. We were certainly no strangers to the Fallen Apostles stealing World Hearts. Ever since we had first dealt with them, those bastards had been doing exactly that!
Sandora looked at Viska with particular gravity. "Are you sure they were after the World Heart? Or did they fail to take the place by force and just steal the World Heart as a consolation prize?"
"Who knows? The situation's still unclear. The war gods are investigating," Viska said, shielding her eyes with one hand and looking utterly exhausted. "It was a frontier world, originally located in one of the calmest regions of the void. It had nothing to do with the Fallen Apostles, so there weren't many troops stationed there to begin with. Those lunatics tore open a breach between the material and illusory layers and charged in, suddenly appearing above the local divine kingdom. Luckily, the commander there reacted quickly, so the divine kingdom wasn't taken. But aside from the divine kingdom, every surrounding star system was swept clean by those crazies. By the time the God Race army arrived to reinforce them, the World Heart was already gone. Everything was chaos, and there was no way to tell whether the Fallen Apostles had targeted the World Heart from the start or simply grabbed it on the way out... But honestly, I have a bad feeling about this. Those guys may be crazy, but they've never been stupid in battle. There must be a reason for everything they do."
I looked at Viska's half-dead appearance. "Why do you look so tired? Did you go fight too?"
"No, by the time I got to the God Realm, it was already over,"
