This strange cluster of space structures was roughly the size of the Solar System. Though it was but a drop in the ocean compared to the anomalous region of space surrounding it, its absolute scale was still considerable. Sandora directed the ship to deploy a large number of probes throughout the outer regions, then slowly advanced toward the heart of the structure cluster. As they pressed onward, strange phenomena began to emerge.
"The spatial readings aren't quite right. Something seems to be hidden here, but I can't crack it for the moment," Sandora said, staring curiously at the equipment before her and the panoramic display of the entire space structure cluster. "A Jun, look. There's a huge blank area near the Core Area. There should be something there. Look at these—these are clearly outer structures, but the inner structures they were supposed to protect are missing."
"Still haven't figured out what this structure cluster was for?" I asked curiously.
"No. Everything we've found so far has been weapons platforms, warehouses, ports, and similar facilities. You can find those in any space base. If this is just some ordinary space colony, that'd be terribly disappointing," Sandora said as she slowly floated over to a large Data Terminal, issuing orders to the Shipboard Mainframe as she went. "Begin analyzing the spatial structure here. There may be something like a Space Rift hidden here."
I looked toward the Holographic Projection beside us. From here, we could clearly see the structure of the entire space complex. It was a classic multilayer spherical space settlement, with more than a dozen clearly defined construction zones arranged from the inside out, forming a structure like nested spherical shells. The outermost layer was relatively sparse, while the buildings became denser and larger the further inward they went. But
