The Energy Conduction Long Bridge had been completely dormant, with zero energy reactions inside it, so Sandora and I had boldly connected our work ship to its end. Besides supplying it with energy, we could scan the structure of the facility through its crystallized pipe network and determine its purpose. But perhaps I was just cursed with bad luck... Even in a place like this, something had to go wrong. The three-kilometer-long "abandoned facility" suddenly activated. The energy channels on its surface, which had been dark, abruptly lit up. Abundant psionic energy surged over its silver-white alloy shell. Fortunately, Sandora and I had already come outside through the broken end of the bridge, so we could safely watch from the sidelines as this enormous facility woke as though coming back to life—and then, after a surge of energy, blew up our work ship.
"What the hell is going on!?" I reacted quickly enough. I did not spare a thought for the minor loss of an unmanned ship, immediately scanning the energy flow inside the Energy Conduction Long Bridge instead. To my surprise, I discovered that it had somehow acquired an energy supply and was now rebooting at incredible speed!
"This thing probably isn't just a fragment like we thought..." Sandora suddenly released countless golden lines from her body, which condensed into a massive arrow in midair. Her entire "body" looked like a mouse cursor as it pointed in a certain direction. "A Jun, look at that fractured surface."
I stared dumbfoundedly at the giant cursor beside me before realizing this was not the time to focus on that.
