Night Market

Night slowly fell, and the Assembly Hall, which had bustled and roared all day, gradually quieted as the sky darkened. On the active stages of the various worlds, aside from a few acts scheduled later or meant as finales, most had already packed up and prepared to fight again tomorrow.

The first day of the carnival had ended. It had truly been a joyous and thrilling day, but tonight's celebration was only just beginning.

What kind of festival would this be without equally lively nighttime activities to embellish it?

After the daytime events ended, there would be several hours of rest. At night, the festivities would move into Shadow City. However, rather than a celebration, the nighttime activities were more like a trade fair. This had been Viska's suggestion, based on similar events she had held before: performances and celebrations during the day, followed by an enormous night market in the evening, allowing the various worlds to exchange what they had and achieve cultural exchange as efficiently as possible. At nine o'clock that night, every market street in Shadow City would open. The builders had made preparations in advance, setting aside more than enough stalls within the city and near its outskirts. Quite a few carnival-goers from different worlds had come specifically for these business opportunities. For certain travelers who enjoyed speculation and adventure, the chance to hunt for rare treasures was obviously far more appealing than artistic performances.

The same events were also underway at the diversion Assembly Halls in the other two worlds. There was no need to mention places like Mars Shelter, which were entirely managed by Imperial builders. Apparently, Azeroth World's supermarket had been wholly contracted out to the goblins. Hopefully, those green little fellows would live up to their reputation as a commerce-founded nation and
