I had always been curious about what a stampede of countless beasts looked like, but now, I had no interest whatsoever in this seemingly spectacular sight.
Through the view Pandora shared with me, I could see demonized creatures surging toward us like a black tsunami, carrying a force that seemed capable of sweeping across heaven and earth. Armored Beasts, Wind Serpents, Demon Wolves, Subdragons, and all manner of mutated creatures whose names I could not even guess. White vapor streamed from their mouths, their eyes were bloodshot, and black mist coiled around their bodies as they charged about wildly without any order. The influence of Abyssal power had left them unable to distinguish friend from foe. Quite a few slower demonized creatures were trampled into meat paste simply because they blocked the path of the monsters behind them. Even more heavily corrupted magical beasts attacked any target within reach as they ran. Whenever one of them was killed by its own kind, its corpse gradually turned into black mist. After the surrounding beasts got high from the mist, they immediately charged toward us with even greater ferocity, as though pumped full of stimulants.
In ten minutes at most, we would be facing this army of drugged-up lunatic magical beasts head-on.
Realizing the seriousness of the problem, I immediately made the wisest choice: I began rapidly pulling all kinds of defensive equipment out of my Personal Space. Psionic Shields, Deflection Force Fields, Phase Armor, Dynamic Counter Force Fields, and two Shipborne Anti-Air Pulse Cannons. Within three minutes, I had built a comprehensive sea-land-air defense system within five meters of myself. Wrapped in heavy Phase Armor, my confidence immediately soared. With this setup, even concentrated bombardment from two Armored Divisions might not be enough to take me down...
