Pandora and Viska were the kind of little maniacs who would cause trouble the moment they were left unsupervised. Their favorite thing was using weapons of mass destruction indoors. While eliminating the Shilin single-soldier fighter that had brazenly attacked us, the two little troublemakers creatively employed a large-caliber Anti-Ship Psionic Cannon capable of punching through an entire warship. As a result, from the moment we entered the relic until we withdrew, the greatest danger we encountered came from those two.
Under the light of Three-Moon, a huge patch of the desolate, lifeless Gobi Desert suddenly bulged upward, as if something were breaking out of the ground. And something really did emerge: a cluster of outrageously thick vine-like plants, carrying an astonishingly immense presence as they flung sand and gravel across a radius of half a kilometer. Then they unfurled with a howl, spreading into a vast expanse of lush green across the Gobi Desert. A dozen or so slightly thinner vines then emerged from the passage opened by the larger ones, cautiously "spitting" more than a dozen enormous flower buds out of the ground. If ordinary people had witnessed such a miraculous sight, it would have caused an unprecedented sensation and undoubtedly sparked an agricultural revolution. Unfortunately, this godforsaken place did not even have birds, and the stunning scene was witnessed only by the three moons of the night and a single star ring.
The giant flower buds slowly bent toward the ground and quietly opened beneath the moonlight. More than twenty filthy, dust-covered people tumbled and crawled out of them. Of course, a few were less bedraggled, such as the Chief's family. Psionic Shields really were unfairly useful: dustproof, windproof, and smokeproof.
"Cough, cough... Bringing Pandora and Viska along was definitely a huge mistake."
