Defense System Gone Haywire
Translucent pale-gold "glass" beads floated quietly in midair, seeming completely motionless. Yet if measured with precise instruments, one would discover that not only were they spinning on their own axes, they were also slowly revolving along their respective paths around the smallest bead at the center. At first glance, those paths were utterly baffling, but upon closer inspection, one would find them strangely familiar: several elliptical concentric rings, a miniature Star System.
The outermost bead seemed to be spinning under some kind of interference. Its rotation sped up and slowed down erratically, as though something half-melted were sloshing around inside it—reminding me of an undercooked soft-boiled egg spinning on a table. In fact, that was probably close to the truth. A normal planet had a half-molten core; if someone suddenly smacked it, it definitely would not spin steadily. And this bead now represented a planet... Older Sister's power seemed to have formed a two-way connection between the two. The small sphere in her hand affected the movements of its corresponding celestial body, while changes occurring on that celestial body were reflected upon the bead at every moment. I was stunned by the bizarre sight before me. A clear voice in my heart told me that Older Sister's curse was at work, but behind that certainty, an even more rational thought hammered at my nerves: When had Older Sister's curse reached this level?
Was Archimonde my second brother whom I had never met... Uh, cut that part.
Older Sister carefully maintained the floating beads with her psychic power, her brows slightly furrowed as though she were considering how to destroy the sphere representing the War Song. It slowly rotated in front of me, as unremarkable as the other spheres, its surface gleaming with pale-gold light. That pale-gold
