Hulk had no idea what skill Richard was using now.
However, the moment he saw the pitch-black sphere of energy floating above Richard's right palm, a powerful sense of danger welled up inside him.
Hulk was indeed not an intelligence-based hero, but he was not stupid.
More precisely, not only was he not stupid, he could sometimes be quite clever.
Just as the saying went, even a big guy had "big wisdom"! Just as Hulk was about to leave his current position, he suddenly realized that he was enveloped by a beam of green light descending from the sky.
This descending green light was none other than the sign that Meteor Lock had locked onto Hulk.
Not knowing what was happening, Hulk instinctively raised his head and looked toward the sky.
Then, he saw a meteor several times larger than himself hurtling toward him at tremendous speed.
If Hulk had ignored the green light enveloping him, he would still have had a chance to leave before the meteor fell.
But unfortunately, he had missed that chance.
Boom! The enormous meteor crashed heavily onto Hulk with astonishing force.
The deafening impact instantly echoed through dozens of nearby streets, while a terrifying shockwave swept outward from Hulk in every direction.
All the windowpanes along both sides of the street burst with a bang. The surrounding buildings and ground trembled violently, as though an earthquake had struck.
Seeing this, the Bystanders who had retreated because Hulk threw a car all felt fortunate that they had moved farther away.
Just how many superpowers did he possess? Could abilities like these really result from genetic mutation?
Just how strong was he?
Whether it was Natasha, the arriving San Francisco Police, or the Bystanders, all of them wore expressions of disbelief after seeing Richard summon a meteor from thin air to strike Hulk.
Although mutants' superpowers were naturally bizarre and varied, they still found it hard to believe what they had just witnessed.
The airwaves created by the impact gradually faded, and the dust filling the sky began to disperse.
Once everything returned to calm, Hulk soon appeared in Natasha and the others' sight.
Hulk rose from the impact crater and glared furiously at Richard.
Just as he was about to do something, the green pillar of light enveloped him once again.
Black Magic Crystal! Seeing the fury on Hulk's face, Richard used Black Magic Crystal again and summoned another enormous meteor.
Not only that, he made this meteor appear less than half a meter above Hulk's head.
Boom! Before Hulk could do anything, he was struck by the meteor again.
However, unlike before, Hulk was not knocked down. Instead, he raised both hands and held the meteor up.
Because it was so close, this meteor's impact was far weaker than that of the previous one.
Richard could have expended more magic power to give the meteor terrifying acceleration over that mere half-meter distance.
But he had no intention of doing that.
Because rather than spending magic power to accelerate this meteor, it would be better to summon another one.
With his cheat-like, astonishing strength, Hulk held up the meteor and shot Richard a disdainful look.
Seeing Hulk's contemptuous gaze, Richard smiled and said, "What will you do about the third one?"
The third one? Richard's voice reached not only Hulk's ears, but also those of Natasha, the Bystanders, and everyone else.
Under normal circumstances, there was no way Natasha and the others, hundreds of meters away, could have heard Richard's voice.
Unless they all had Super Hearing.
The only reason they could hear him now was that Richard wanted them to, deliberately using magic power to carry his voice outward.
Holding up the meteor, Hulk could not see what was happening above his head.
But Natasha and the others could clearly see a massive meteor, over ten meters in diameter, streaking toward Hulk as though it had just pierced the atmosphere, wrapped in High-Temperature Flame.
Under Natasha and the others' watchful eyes, the meteor slammed viciously into the one Hulk was holding up.
Boom! The terrifying shockwave created by the collision swept outward like a hurricane. The earth trembled again, and the dust kicked up by the shockwave engulfed the entire Street Block.
Even Natasha and the others, hundreds of meters away, were thrown into the air one after another by the shockwave.
If they had been given another chance, they would absolutely have retreated one or two kilometers away.
But unfortunately, there was no medicine for regret in this world.
Like Natasha and the others, Hulk regretted it now as well.
At this moment, he lay flat on his back in the center of an impact crater over a meter deep, his hands spread open, looking as aggrieved as a one-ton child.
Strictly speaking, it was not merely like one—he really was a one-ton child.
Although he remained lying in the crater without getting up, Hulk's injuries were not particularly serious.
Compared to the damage to his body, the psychological damage he had suffered was far more severe.
Moreover, he finally understood why Natasha had said she did not want to see him get hurt.
Natasha did not look down on him; she was genuinely concerned for him.
After seeing Hulk lying in the impact crater unwilling to get up, Richard used Teleportation to arrive at the edge of the crater.
"Get up. I won't hit you with meteors anymore, and I won't use this sword to cut you either."
Richard said to Hulk.
Upon hearing that, Hulk sat up like an angry child.
Then he said in a muffled voice:
"Hulk doesn't like meteors. Hulk doesn't like your sword either."
After saying that, Hulk raised his right hand and pointed at the Masamune in Richard's hand.
He really was like a child!
Richard smiled and shook his head, placing the Masamune back into the System Space.
Then, he flicked his right wrist.
Summoned Swords! Under Hulk's gaze, he summoned a sword over a meter long, glowing with Azure Blue Light. It looked less like a weapon and more like a work of art.
"Next, I'll spar with you using the Summoned Swords."
"By the way, do you know the difference between sparring and fighting?"
Richard asked.
Hulk said nothing, merely nodding to indicate that he understood.
"Since you know, get up and continue sparring."
Richard continued.
"Hulk wants to spar. Hulk is strong. Hulk won't be knocked down!"
With that, Hulk stood up and dusted himself off.
Although Natasha and the others could not hear what Richard and Hulk were saying, when they saw Hulk get up and climb out of the impact crater, they knew that the exchange between Richard and Hulk was not over.
Not only that, they noticed that Hulk was no longer as angry as before. He followed Richard away from the impact crater like an obedient child.
What happened to Hulk? Seeing the change in Hulk, Natasha frowned in confusion.
Although Hulk was not completely impossible to communicate with, communicating with him was extremely difficult.
Even she could only barely communicate with Hulk at the moment.
Under the watchful eyes of Natasha, the Bystanders, and the others, Richard and Hulk stopped more than twenty meters apart.
Then, they attacked each other at the same time.
Hulk used the close-range attacks he was best at, his enormous fists repeatedly flying toward Richard.
Richard, meanwhile, wielded the Summoned Swords with masterful swordsmanship, treating Hulk as a rare sparring partner.
Thrust, point, deflect, twist, press, cleave, intercept, lift, slash, pick, wipe, shave, stab...
Though he used no flashy sword techniques, only the fundamental attacks of swordsmanship, Richard's execution of those basics with the Summoned Swords still carried the graceful, unrestrained elegance of a soaring dragon and sword aura like a rainbow.
As for Hulk, his fighting style was the same as Sabretooth's—he relied entirely on instinct.
Time passed bit by bit.
Before they knew it, Richard and Hulk had exchanged blows for several minutes.
Richard's previous battles had always ended quickly, and they had felt like playing one of those Dynasty Warriors-style mowing-down games.
Although his exchange with Hulk was not a battle but a spar, it still gave him a thrill he had never experienced before.
Hulk possessed astonishing strength and excellent defense.
With Hulk as a sparring partner, Richard did not need to worry about accidentally killing him.
Hulk felt much the same.
He had once scoffed at so-called techniques, but now he was learning with his eyes wide open.
He had realized that relying only on instinct and brute force did not make one a qualified warrior.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hulk would only gradually realize this after arriving on Sakaar.
Because of Richard, Hulk recognized his lack of technique ahead of time and began to think that he needed to practice techniques as well.
Just as Richard and Hulk were having the time of their lives "playing," several missiles flew in from the distant sky, speeding toward the two of them.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
The missiles struck their location with precision. A tremendous Explosion Sound erupted as orange-red flames swept outward in all directions.
Along with the Explosion Sound came the roar of Department of Mutant Affairs fighter jets streaking through the sky.
Before long, the flames from the explosions vanished.
When everything returned to calm, several enormous Explosion Craters had appeared where Richard and Hulk had been standing.
Where were they? Upon discovering that Richard and Hulk had both vanished, Natasha and the surrounding Bystanders immediately began searching for them.
The next second, they heard a peal of thunder from the sky.
Rumble! Looking toward the sound, Natasha and the Bystanders saw a massive bolt of lightning descending from above.
The thick, silver-white lightning did not strike the ground. Instead, it struck the Black Jet roaring through the air.
Boom! The Black Jet was indeed fast, but the lightning was faster.
Before Hulk and the others' eyes, the Department of Mutant Affairs' Black Jet exploded spectacularly in midair like Fireworks.
The one who had summoned the lightning to attack the Black Jet was none other than Richard.
Before the missile could hit him, he grabbed Hulk by the shoulder and used Teleportation, taking the still-unreacting Hulk away from their original position.
Then, he used Great Lightning, summoning a thick bolt capable of destroying the Black Jet in a single strike.
