Two-Sword Style: Ghost Slash
Before fighting Hulk, Richard had known that the San Francisco branch of the Department of Mutant Affairs would definitely send more people.
Even if the Mutant Agents in the San Francisco branch's Action Department were not confident they could take him down, the San Francisco branch would not pretend it knew nothing.
After using Great Lightning to destroy the Black Jet, Richard used Teleportation once again, bringing the bewildered Hulk back to the street.
Looking at Hulk, who still had not realized what had happened, he said slowly:
"Looks like someone doesn't want us to keep playing. Let's end this after one more exchange!"
As soon as he finished speaking, another Summoned Sword appeared in Richard's left hand, one that looked more like a work of art than a weapon.
Seeing Richard summon another Summoned Sword, Hulk nodded seriously.
Though he did not know what move Richard was about to use, he wanted to see it.
Under Hulk's watchful gaze, Richard casually spun the Summoned Sword in his hand.
Then, he raised the Summoned Swords in both hands and assumed a "Two-Sword Style" stance resembling a crossed X.
The Summoned Sword in his left hand was in front, while the one in his right hand was behind.
Though he did not know what Richard was going to do next, Hulk suddenly had a bad feeling when he saw Richard's "Two-Sword Style" stance.
Hulk's instincts were accurate.
Unfortunately, they came just a little too late.
The second that bad feeling arose in his heart, Richard appeared before him, swinging both Summoned Swords at once.
Two-Sword Style: Ghost Slash!
Two-Sword Style: Ghost Slash was not a skill from the Character Template, but a move Richard had created himself.
Though it was a self-created move, using Two-Sword Style: Ghost Slash still consumed mana.
Otherwise, the Summoned Swords he swung would only deliver ordinary slashes. They would not receive mana's additional enhancement, much less produce any special effects.
The two Summoned Swords, swung with lightning speed, struck Hulk's chest at the same time.
Though both were downward slashes, the Summoned Sword in Richard's left hand cut from Hulk's right shoulder to his left waist, while the one in his right hand cut from Hulk's left shoulder to his right waist.
Hulk saw Richard appear before him in an instant like a ghost, but he had no time to stop him.
Forget stopping him—he could not even raise his hands to block.
Sshk! Sshk!
As the Summoned Swords swept past, a cross-shaped wound immediately appeared on Hulk's chest.
If it had been an ordinary person or a mutant without Super Constitution, Richard's Two-Sword Style: Ghost Slash would have killed them without question.
But clearly, Hulk was not a target who could be killed so easily.
Like Earth Shake, Two-Sword Style: Ghost Slash also had the effect of sending enemies flying.
As intense pain erupted from his chest, Hulk was flung backward uncontrollably, green blood spraying from the cross-shaped wound on his chest.
Bang!
Hulk, flying backward, crashed straight through the wall of the building behind him and was sent flying inside.
Though he had sent Hulk flying, Richard was certain that such an injury would not kill him.
Or rather, he had never intended to kill Hulk in the first place.
Although Hulk had been the one to show "hostility," Richard knew that Hulk did not want to capture or kill him.
Hulk had only done this because he wanted to prove to Natasha that he was stronger than Richard.
To put it simply, Hulk's competitive spirit had gotten the better of him. He had no malicious intent.
Hulk's mind was currently about the same as a child's.
As an adult, Richard naturally would not hold it against him.
Though he had killed quite a few people, he was not some deranged serial killer who would kill a child just because the child refused to accept defeat.
Besides, he had enjoyed this fight with Hulk.
Because he knew Hulk had no malicious intent, Richard had not gone all out from the beginning.
Otherwise, he would have used Octaslash at full power in their very first exchange.
After sending Hulk flying, Richard immediately dismissed the Summoned Swords in both hands and used Teleportation to blink in front of Hulk.
At that moment, Hulk was lying in the back kitchen of a restaurant, surrounded by shattered bricks and dishes scattered across the floor.
"Let's call it here for today. If we keep fighting, someone really is going to die."
Richard said to Hulk, who had yet to get up.
Hearing him, Hulk immediately nodded and sat up.
Just as Hulk was about to say something, Richard continued:
"You can tell Natasha that we fought to a draw. You can't touch me, and I can't kill you."
"After all, your body is too strong. Both your strength and Constitution are greater than mine."
After saying that, he extended his right hand toward Hulk.
Hulk did not hesitate at all. He immediately extended his right hand and shook Richard's.
Although Hulk was not as smart as Banner, and his mentality was much like that of a child, he could still tell—or rather, sense—whether others harbored hostility toward him.
"All right, see you again if we get the chance."
"I hope your fighting skills are a little better the next time we meet."
"Keep it up, big guy. I think highly of you!"
After saying that, Richard patted Hulk on the head and used Teleportation to leave the restaurant's back kitchen.
Only after he had vanished completely did Hulk get to his feet and glance at the wound on his chest, which had already stopped bleeding.
Because his strength and physique were so exceptional, many people did not know that Hulk also possessed Regenerative Ability far beyond that of ordinary humans.
Even if most of his vital organs were destroyed, he could regenerate and recover.
In addition, he was immune to all diseases, poisons, chemical weapons, and biological weapons.
In the comics, his Regenerative Ability and Survival Ability were so formidable that he could not die even if his entire head were cut off and soaked in a jar full of Formalin.
Not only that, as long as his head was rejoined with the rest of his body in the specimen jar, he could fully recover in a short time, as though he had never been injured at all.
Although the Hulk of this universe was not as powerful as the one in the comics, his Healing Ability was still not to be underestimated.
The wounds Richard had left on him would heal completely before long.
After getting up, Hulk did not immediately leave the restaurant's back kitchen.
Only after the cross-shaped wound on his chest had mostly healed did he leave the back kitchen and head toward Natasha.
Las Vegas.
After wrapping up the "little incident" with Hulk, Richard used Teleportation all the way to the renowned Las Vegas, intending to experience the Local Customs and Practices of the Gambling City and, while he was at it, see whether he could Plunder any superpowers that interested him.
Unlike before, he did not search for an unoccupied cabin near Las Vegas. Instead, he went straight to the city center.
More precisely, he arrived on the rooftop of a casino building.
Las Vegas was surrounded by barren deserts and rocky wilderness. There were no forests there.
That meant he could not "borrow" a vacation cabin owned by a middle-class family in the woods as he had before.
However, that was not a particularly serious problem for him.
The reason he had not lived in the center of a city before was not because he lacked the ability to disguise himself, but because empty forests were better suited for practicing his skills.
If he wanted to live downtown, he could live downtown.
It would just be relatively more troublesome.
For example, he would need to disguise himself.
After giving it some thought, he decided to use his old sunglasses-and-Baseball Cap disguise.
His flowing silver hair was indeed eye-catching, but he was not especially worried about that.
Speaking of which—
It was necessary to mention his die-hard fans.
After the Los Angeles Branch incident, a group of die-hard fans who worshipped him had appeared in Los Angeles.
Although three months had already passed, not only had the number of his die-hard fans not decreased, it had continued to grow.
There were two reasons for this.
On one hand, the Department of Mutant Affairs had been tirelessly "promoting" him.
On the other hand, the United States was simply a very bizarre country.
In the United States, as long as someone was handsome, had a unique personality, or possessed exceptional abilities, they could gain fans of their own.
Even serial killers and criminals had fans who worshipped them.
Before crossing over, Richard had seen plenty of news online about American criminals gaining a group of die-hard female fans simply because they were handsome.
Back then, he had never imagined that he himself would one day have a large group of die-hard fans.
If, after the Los Angeles Branch incident, his die-hard fans had been limited to Los Angeles, and the personal website and forum they had created for him had only been small local websites and forums—
Then now, that once crude-looking personal website and forum had developed into popular sites with considerable traffic, their registered members spread throughout the entire United States.
Richard had also registered accounts on the website and forum.
However, he had not revealed his true identity or made any posts there. He only logged on occasionally to see what his group of die-hard fans had been up to lately.
Back to the matter of his silver hair.
A large portion of his die-hard fans—especially those who already had long hair—had dyed their hair silver.
Even many people who were not his die-hard fans had deliberately dyed their hair silver after seeing videos about him.
The die-hard fans at the San Francisco protest were good examples.
Taking out his sunglasses and Baseball Cap from the System Space and putting them on, Richard used Teleportation to leave the rooftop of the casino building.
