Background
Richard was originally a college student from China before transmigrating into the body of Richard Wesley, the son of mutant activist Roy Wesley. He awakens in the Marvel Universe shortly after Roy is arrested for opposing the Mutant Restriction Act, which requires mutant registration and prohibits unauthorized public use of superpowers. 1 2
Although he has no personal attachment to Roy at first, Richard decides to rescue him as repayment for inheriting his body and identity. He initially prioritizes increasing his own strength, using the Sephiroth Template and his dormant Plunder ability to do so. 2
Crimson Manor’s leadership attempts to expel him following Roy’s arrest. Richard accepts their car and money, returns with gasoline, kills the management, plunders their powers, burns the manor, and disbands the organization. 3 4 5
Appearance
Richard’s appearance changes significantly after receiving the Sephiroth Template. He has silver-white hair, light-green eyes, vertical beast-like pupils, and a notably handsome appearance that he openly appreciates. 2
- Silver-white hair; initially short, later shoulder-length, then waist-length after further Template fusion. 19 40
- Light-green eyes with vertical pupils. 2
- Commonly carries the over-two-meter-long Masamune. 2
- Later adopts a black windbreaker modeled after Sephiroth’s attire, complete with silver shoulder armor. 113
- Favors bespoke suits when presenting himself publicly as a “Suit Thug.” 52
Personality
Richard adapts quickly to transmigration, treating his new world and identity with unusual calm. He is self-reliant, guarded about revealing his abilities, and willing to exploit an opponent’s assumptions or overconfidence. 1 18 38
He is pragmatic and transactional: he helps others when it benefits him, fulfills bargains when he considers them worthwhile, and expects compensation for significant assistance. 79 120 227 He is also highly protective of his autonomy, refusing to be bound by a heroic reputation or by expectations that he should lead all mutants. 43 145
Richard is capable of extreme ruthlessness, often killing enemies and plundering their abilities without hesitation. However, he can show restraint or empathy when he chooses, such as allowing two opposing agents a final moment together and sparing Hulk after their fight reaches a draw. 40 48
Abilities & Skills
Template System and Sephiroth Template
Richard’s System grants him the Sephiroth Template, its associated magic power, equipment, skills, missions, storage space, and fusion progression. 1 41
- Uses Magic Power to perform sword techniques and elemental magic. 2 13
- Reached Level 3 mastery in his documented Sephiroth skills after three months of training and combat. 40 41
- At Level 3, can regulate a skill’s output between its Level 1 and Level 3 strength, adjusting magic consumption accordingly. 41
- Documented skills include Octaslash, Earth Shake, Sky Tremor, Zanshin, Iai Slash, Hell Gate, Great Fire, Great Blizzard, Great Lightning, Great Gust, and Dimension Slash. 41
Plunder
Plunder is Richard’s defining X-Gene superpower. It allows him to take superpowers from people killed by his own hand. 2
- Absorbed abilities can merge with identical or similar powers, strengthening the surviving ability instead of merely increasing his total number of powers. 9 27
- Can convert certain plundered elemental powers into Template magic skills, such as Control Electricity into Great Lightning and Freeze into Great Blizzard. 5
- Advanced from Beta-level to Alpha-level after repeated absorption of Super Self-Healing abilities. 27
- Advanced to Omega-level after acquiring Dark Phoenix’s Matter Manipulation. 88
- Requires Richard to personally kill the target; powers do not activate merely through contact or observation. 2
Spatial Movement and Dimensional Attacks
Richard first relies on Flash for rapid short-range movement, then upgrades to Alpha-level Teleportation after plundering it from a mutant agent. 4 39
- Flash — rapid repositioning; its range exceeds 500 meters after training. 14
- Teleportation — faster and more capable than Flash, with no visible special effects. 39
- Dimension Slash — a space-attribute sword attack capable of destroying Sentinel Robots. 25 72
- FS Dimension Slash and Continuous Dimension Slash — improved variants used to defeat multiple Sentinel Robots. 72
- Can use the Tesseract to create spatial gates across vast distances. 246
Telepathy and Mental Abilities
Richard’s mental powers develop through the fusion of Mental Isolation, Mental Charm, Hypnotic Suggestion, and other plundered mind abilities into Telepathy. 7 41
- Mental Isolation — a passive defense against external mental influence. 7
- Telepathy — reads, restrains, and influences minds; eventually covers continental-scale search areas. 41 260
- Mind Erase — used to kill immobilized targets by destroying their minds. 71 72
- Psychological Suggestion — can implant commands into a target’s subconscious, including a sleep trigger for Tony Stark and an order causing General Ross to stop hunting Bruce Banner. 79 248
- Telepathy reaches Alpha-level during the assault on the Department of Mutant Affairs Headquarters. 71 72
Physical Enhancement and Survivability
Richard’s repeated ability fusions grant him formidable physical capabilities even without Template techniques. 27 41
- Super Strength — Alpha-level; strong enough to physically dominate elite mutants and contend with Hulk through skill and weapon use. 27 45
- Super Constitution — Alpha-level durability. 27
- Super Self-Healing — Alpha-level regeneration strengthened through multiple fusions. 27
- Immortality — plundered from Azazel. 54
- Energy Absorption — Alpha-level; absorbs non-spiritual energy, stores it, releases it, or uses it to enhance Richard’s body. 64
- Rock Body, Steel Body, Bone Claws, Beast Instinct, and Super Senses supplement his durability, combat awareness, and close-range capability. 27 71
Matter Manipulation
Richard obtains Omega-level Matter Manipulation from Dark Phoenix. 88
- Can transmute or decompose matter at range. 105 127
- Uses it in his vigilante activities to leave criminals’ severed heads as a deliberate signature. 127
- The ability’s acquisition elevates Plunder itself to Omega-level. 88
Elemental and Energy Powers
Richard converts and strengthens multiple plundered powers into magic or X-Gene attacks. 5 15 32
- Great Fire — fire magic strengthened through Fire Manipulation and flame-generation powers. 15 44 60
- Great Blizzard — ice magic enhanced through Freeze abilities; later reaches its limit after absorbing the Casket of Ancient Winters. 15 120
- Great Lightning — lightning magic used to incapacitate or kill groups of enemies. 5 15 43
- Great Gust — wind magic created from Hurricane Manipulation; can counter Riptide’s tornadoes. 32 58
- Heat Vision — later upgraded to Alpha-level. 71
- Magnetic Field Manipulation and Gravity Manipulation provide battlefield control and defensive options. 62 71
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Masamune — Richard’s signature silver-white sword, over two meters long; stored in System Space and used for nearly all of his sword techniques. 2 9
- Masamune Yamato — an enhanced/fused blade sharp enough to cut through a reinforced concrete wall. 111
- Summoned Swords — Template-exclusive weaponry listed alongside Masamune. 41
- Tesseract — taken from S.H.I.E.L.D.; used to create large-scale spatial gates. 97 246
- Ten Rings — taken from Wenwu through Magnetic Field Manipulation. 101
- Casket of Ancient Winters and Eternal Flame — Asgardian artifacts absorbed to push Great Blizzard and Great Fire to their limits. 120
Relationships
- Roy Wesley — Richard Wesley’s father and founder of Crimson Manor; Roy’s arrest motivates Richard’s early conflict with the Department of Mutant Affairs. 2 9
- Sabretooth (Victor Creed) — Roy’s former acquaintance and Richard’s early ally; they cooperate during the Los Angeles Branch assault despite mutual distrust. 9 18
- Clarice / Blink — ally rescued from Mutant Agents alongside Sabretooth; later confesses her feelings for Richard at the School for Mutants. 15 81
- Emma Frost / White Queen — ally, companion, and private asset manager entrusted with Richard’s finances and later household affairs. 58 80 140

- Magneto — respected mutant leader whom Richard recruits to manage Silver City’s outer city. 144 145
