Background / History

Shiho was born after White Dove Pharmaceuticals, where her parents had worked, had already gone bankrupt. Her parents later entered a Black Organization laboratory, then died in a fire shortly after Shiho's birth. Shiho and her older sister, Miyano Akemi, were subsequently raised by the Organization; Akemi believes their parents were silenced and their deaths disguised as an accident 54.

Cultivated by the Organization from childhood, Shiho became an exceptionally accomplished scientist. By adulthood, she held doctorates in two fields and had been entrusted with her own research institute, her parents' remaining research materials, and extensive funding 63 142. Under the codename Sherry, she developed APTX4869 from those materials and named the Organization-controlled Heres Pharmaceutical company after her codename 53.

While reviewing APTX4869 victim records, Shiho noticed that Shinichi Kudo remained classified as “Unknown.” Suspecting that he had survived, she secretly changed his status to “confirmed dead,” keeping his survival hidden from the Organization 53 54.
